My original 5 slot fuse box is missing the cover and a few screws so I decided to move to the six slot.

I think I’ve been looking at these wrong. Looks like the 12v signal comes in on the right side of the fuse box and then the left side goes to the actual ‘widget’?? Just want to make sure I am looking at this correctly bc the five slot has multiple wires on the right side and the six slot has two connection points. I have the diagrams, etc. so I guess I need to figure out what is what…although everything has been working.

Also, what is anyone using the spare for??

I think this answers it.

I think the PO must have had wires on both sides…which could be slightly not good in bad circumstances. So I’ll need to move everything over to the left side to ensure it has a fuse before it.

correct power in on the left of the 5 fuse assembly, you can see under the wires the 3 and 2 connectors
seems like a bunch of extra stuff added on both sides
if on the hot side of the panel, those need an inline fuse to protect the widget

The left side in pic with the bridge bussing is the input side. That green wire under the blue crimp end should be the ign switched power. One of those busses will be constant power & 1 will be switched ign power. The white with blue stripe that you can barely see should go to the constant power buss IIRC.

Thanks. There aren’t any extras so I think they just loaded some up on the actual 12v side.

So on the five fuse assembly the power is coming in on the left and on the 6 slot power will be in the right.

Are there only two power wires needed? One to the top slots and one to the bottom slots? I believe that is what I’m seeing on the wiring diagram.

Ok thank you. That makes sense.

you can turn the 6 slot over and power in will be on the left
I think the cover will install either way

Oh…duh. I didn’t think about that…haha. Just checked and that will work.
