We are expecting to arrive in Moab on Saturday 7/21. Hit us up when you guys get into town. I’ll be driving there with Kamal so we will have 2 rigs ready for the trails.when do you get into Moab? We are shooting
to roll in Sunday afternoon (7/22)
Boafeng. I bought a two pack on Amazon a couple of years ago for like $90.Any fairly inexpensive handheld Ham recommendations?
I feel the same. I really mentioned it only because I thought I’d put it out there that there will for sure be people ready to go wheeling even if the fire situation closes some trails. I hope and expect that will be fine, but just thought it might be good to pipe up to those wondering if more people are going to bail out. I think most people won’t but anyway just putting it out there. Glad to hear you are going and hope you find a swa I feel the same. I think Ohnoitsbreaux was looking for a squaw, my wife might take issue with me bringing a squaw along!
When I studied for the HAM tech exam, I used a free app on iOS called “Ham radio exam” by Roy Watson. It helped out a lot and I passed the exam 100% due to this app. This was delivered this afternoon. I am going to see if I can knock out the licensing before we leave for Moab/Telluride.

I want to hit Poughkeepsie and Yankee Boy this year. We bailed a day early two years ago and missed these.
We missed you guys on that one...going to be awesomeI want to hit Poughkeepsie and Yankee Boy this year. We bailed a day early two years ago and missed these.
FWIW I liked the Google Docs spreadsheet we didn’t last year for trail signup.
We haven't committed to that exercise as the groups tended to shift quite a bit from the original plan. So far I know we'll focus on a standard meetup spot for the first morning but then we may stage stagger the meetup times a bit in case we have multiple groups on the same trail. I guess a lot depends on the final headcount per day.
