It seems like it'd be helpful to collect a simple list of folks who are planning on attending. Let's start here and then we'll expand if we need more information. In the spirit of what @codyaustin5 added to the first post, we're going to try keeping things simple this year.

200LCDC 2018: Telluride

Markuson + wifey added. :princess::steer:

Added me, wife, and my kids. We're planning to get to Telluride late Thursday night, so we'll be joining the group Friday and Saturday for sure.

Looking forward to doing Black Bear and Imogene one of the days

Hopefully, I will be there with my twin boys. Still need to book a spot to stay. Looking to camp out in the vehicle. Just need a place to park correct or do I need to select a space?

I have about a dozen patches left over from last year that I'll have for sale at the meet. I'll also be bringing new stickers for this years gathering that I'll hand out at the dinner. Working on the artwork now.

I'm in for the new patch/stickers.

You'll either need a campground spot somewhere or you have to find BLM or USDA property where dispersed camping is permitted. At first glance it looks like there may be some around Lizard Head, but call the USDA and BLM offices as they'll be able to confirm. The general rule is that if the site has a fire ring already it's fair game.

We dispersed camped on the north rim of the Grand Canyon last summer. Actually directly on the east rim. The drop off was steeper than the photo looks. 6 miles off the main road, but smooth enough gravel road we parked our travel trailer on the site.

Best camp site ever.

If you do stay at Cayton I promise to be more neighborly this year :)

Hello Everyone,

I would very much like to go on this adventure with everyone of you, but I a few concerns and they all revolve around me and my lack of experience. I just bough my first ever LC last week. Its bone stock, and I know they are very capable in stock form, what worries me is the fact that I have no off road driving experience. I am planning on going to the Overland Expo East and enroll in as many courses as humanly possible, but that won't until November, well after this event.

whomever you are riding with will certainly be more than willing to help you out, teach you the ropes and spot whenever you feel in necessary, and the trails are not that difficult. If you do plan on any mods ever, I would remove your running boards and get sliders, and some AT tires. With that, you would be fine on the trails around Telluride in otherwise stock form.

As Steen mentioned lots of experienced guys willing to help. Ultimately you need to be comfortable on sides of the mountain and tires close to the edges. They are not technical but you need to be confident. Go slow and watch your spotter. There is also easy scenic trails that are great options if you’re uneasy in those situations.

Check out the sign up sheet for trails and recommended mods for them.
