Ha, That's funny! All that suspense for months and so far only 13 have voiced in here they are in!

Facebook page said 8 spots remaining...that makes 27. The other 14 are either out celebrating or perhaps getting an early start on all the mods to get ready for the trip :)

Signed up. Happy dance! Not sure if the amount paid was correct. Crappy internet connection but at least it went through

In and registered! Not sure if this is the right place to discuss technical terms so I'll wait for somebody to start the thread, maybe in the 100 series section. I read the FAQ about the difficulty of wheeling which seems to be low except for one trail. I am deciding whether I want to go with the RTT/Awning setup or not. Heck, I'll start up the tech thread.

As of right now, I'm registered +1 not including my chocolate lab. It will either be my girlfriend or compadre. Pumped for this event!

I ran RTT and awning last year without issue. Glad I did since it rained cats and dogs the first night. IMO best way to go (unless you're putting the tent on a trailer :) )

We didnt do Poughkeepsie, but had zero issues on all others with this set-up.

I am completely stock and ran all but the one trail. Last year we had some rain and the RTT/Awning you have would have been ideal. The truck in your sig could go on any of the trails.

I'm in and solo for now! Hoping the wife can make it along for the long weekend.

Now to find a place to stash my rig between our end of June out west trip and HiH!

In!

Glad to see everyone was able to register! We had a few double register (double click) in the chaos of trying to get in quickly. If you received a "Registration is Full" message, we have adjusted the double registrants and there are now 5 spots remaining.

We had 25 register within the first 8 minutes! Very impressive! We are humbled by everyone's excitement to join us. We've noticed a good mix of familiar names and plenty new ones.

Please check the website, Facebook and this thread often for new details.

Over the next few weeks, we will start getting trail lists put together and you will have an opportunity to select which trails you'd like to run. You can expect a short description of each and some trails (like Black Bear Pass) have serious exposure and pucker factor. It's important to know your ( and your passengers) limitations and tolerances. For instance, my wife has a serious fear of heights and wouldn't even walk down BB Pass, but is willing to drive or ride along over obstacles that make me nervous. There will be a few trails that are good "practice" runs for Black Bear and a great way to check your nerves before getting up there. With that being said, Black Bear SHOULD scare you a little. If it doesn't, than you're being overconfident and that's dangerous!

As mention above, a RTT is a fine addition to your roof for this type of event. There are no low trees and we spend much of the weekend ABOVE tree line anyway.

If anyone has questions, feel free to email us or post up here. Most likely, folks will have the same question and it's good to have it asked and answered right on the forum.

Anyone else coming up from the south that wants to meet up along the way?

I'm in Louisiana and last year the drive wasn't too bad. Albuquerque the first day, up to Ouray the 2nd.

Open this year as to route and drive days...

@ntsaint right now will likely go out I10 to 285 to I40 into Albuquerque. Plan on leaving either Tuesday PM or very early Wednesday AM to get to Albuquerque Wednesday night. But, I'm open to other routes to make a group run into Ouray.

@ntsaint Im in Amarillo. Not for sure when I plan to leave but am open to suggestions.. A caravan would be pretty cool considering we have quite a few folks from TX going.. Anyone staying at a motel close to the camp site? Or is everyone gonna rough it at the camping area? Not sure myself but it's gonna come down to what the wifey wants to do. Personally I could sleep out of the cruiser but the wifey doesn't think she could handle more than one night out of it.. As long as we make the trip I'm willing to abide lol :)..

@Bloomer Id' be willing to take tag along if we could meet in Amarillo. It wouldn't be out of you guys way very much from what I could tell on Google maps.. Would only add a few minutes to the trip then we could take I40 straight to Querque :)
