4Runner shocks on GX470

My wife has a GX470 2006 model, it needs new shocks after 127K miles. She plans on keeping it another year and doesn't really want to pay for the Lexus replacements. Anyone install 4Runner shocks on a GX470? Any special modifications needed?

You can install 4R from the same model year...but unless they have AHC you will lose the ride control aspect.

The 4th gen Ltd. trim 4Runner had the rear air suspension, but I don't think the adj. shocks were ever offered.
