Yes, the SWB 45 has chains like the FST FJ40/25. They may have been on the Stout also??
Stout chains are 1 link longer than lpb chains, the hook and the fixed mount are the same as an lpb.

Now there is one pair of chains left: As the others they are unused NOS, but the galvanising has lost it's shine and a rivet that fixes the canvas protection has come out. 135 USD including worldwide shipping.

My concern with using a rubber tube in a U shape that rain water would collect at the bottom and rust the chain. Like the idea of something soft enough to keep from rubbing the paint off the bed and tailgate but able to breathe and stay dry.
