I saw this the other day on Instagram, I though it was interesting. If anyone has more info or pics please post.

It reads they raised the inner fenders 7 inches. Sounds like a lot of work to get there. I'll guess frame height would be approx 19" which is just 1" lower than mine.

Need to see more of this mystery 80. Really curious to see what the did for the rear door/fender well.

I wouldn't let any d-bag from a shop called "Swag Offroad" touch my truck.

Can’t decide if it’ll drag over everything or if the 40s are enough to keep its belly off the rocks. Nice work though.

If its the same swag offroad that makes all the tools then they’re a pretty cool company.

It looks to me like these guys build tools, not trucks.

I'm not buying this to be as simple or as complete as it appears. Raising virtually anything on the inner fenders and your into the hood. Where is the battery, cruise control module, charcoal canister, among other things, not to mention interfering with the abs module and brake booster? Especially if you are keeping any up travel. The little you can see inside that fender and near the gas filler door doesn't support such a simple statement with so much complexity behind it. In the rear, you would be moving the filler neck, seat belt mounting points, etc. I'm personally not buying this is as great as it appears.

The inner fender would be easy tp trim up and gain a few inches like most with bigger tires have done. Maybe if it is a more serious off road only rig, they are eliminating lots of those extras like C/C and A/C? Rear mounted battery, or smaller one?

That's the outer fender well, the inner fender well has everything mounted to it. I think it's far from " most with bigger tires" are doing anything to the inner fender well. You can trim the outer fender well and get your tire to stuff more and clear the fender lip, but getting into the inner fender well is a whole different animal. I don't think I have ever seen anyone clearing off their inner fender wells and moving all that stuff to get more clearance for big tires. Like I said, do that, and were does the battery, charcoal canister, cruise module, abs module, etc go? It's no where near that simple. Your fuse block is right there too. It could maybe raise 4 inches before it hits the underside of the hood....maybe.

That is the inner fender, trimming or pie cutting the outer edge of it is how you make room for bigger tires on the inside. It would be time consuming but not hard to move stuff. Not even remotely hard. That is a picture of my 80 after replacing the inner fender because of the front endge Damage it had when I got it from my brother. I am very familiar with bolting and moving all the crap around.

The problem with this IG post is that they have only posted this pic. But you can clearly see that the inner fender is still there. Maybe they have engine swapped it or deleted all those things.. who knows. On stock suspension it will still have only a hand full of inches of up travel though.

For reference, I have 35s on my 80 now. I do NOT consider those to be big tires.

Either way, your not fitting 40’s by simply pie cutting. At least if you want any issuable up travel.

40s will fit, but will probably rub like hell by the looks of their picture. I have not measured the flares but it seems like they trimmed fender right about there. So maybe that is where they are getting the 7 inch extra clearance they are stating in the IG post. By cutting off the outer edge of that inner fender assemble they cant have gained more that maybe 2 to 3 inches of effective tire stuffing clearance.

I'll be honest, his cuts don't look too different than mine. Just a lot cleaner. I'm not sure I buy that it has full up travel, though I will say I'm not that far off from factory, and the 40's do "fit". Inner fenders wouldn't take too much work to open up enough for what he has done, and I'll give them props. I would love to see the interior in the rear.

But, I couldn't image being any lower in the belly than I already am. I drag over everything, and my frame, suspension, control arm brackets, t-case, crossmember, and now 20 gallon fuel tank all bear the scars.

I like it. Does need about 2" of lift, but that is a whole lot less than most people running 37 or 40's. This is almost exactly what I want to do. Wish they still had the 39" Krawlers.

I want to see more pics too but they did specifically state "relocated everything under the hood and in the rear to clear". I don't think these guys just did a pie-cut to the inner fenders.
