40 heater problems

We could not get our heater blower to work.Blower fan...no. Resister.....no. Switch.....no. Bad wiring......no. 3 hours later...Answer.... Fuse box by kick plate going bad! Even though the fuse was good. Thinking about a marine fuse box what have you guys tried? Mike
 
Or clean the fuse holders on the old one....

Everything has a life expectance. This looks like a potential fire hazzard. Almost no car insur. covers fire.
 
from what I understand OEM fuse boxes are still available
 
As stated, pull all the fuses out and disconnect the battery. File the fuse holders with a round file. Unless there's a wiring to the "back side" problem, this should solve your problem. This is a known regular problem, specially on open top trucks.
