Shouldn't make a difference, what's not fitting correctly?

Yeah inputs are same size.
How about some pictures of the situation?
Did you use the aligning tool when you fastened the pressure plate to the flywheel?

$OR just show one clutch disk for both 3 and 4 speed tranny 58-87

Small needle file to provide chamfer could go a long way in allowing fitment.

Are you sure you have the right clutch disk - maybe you got a chevy one by mistake. $100 to 165 for a new disk as above link

Here are some photos. The numbers on the box are appropriate.

I have an older three speed clutch disc at the office, that I will try tomorrow. Is there any chance this is not a Toyota four-speed transmission? The only identifying information on it are the numbers 771.

I just did this conversion too. Yes, you have a 4 speed. I had that style clutch disk with the metal springs. Apparently those are the "heavy" duty clutches according to some old Toyota pamphlet that I once saw. It was bolted up to my 3 speed transmission. But, the 4 speed and 3 speed transmsision both have a 10-spline input shaft, so the disk should fit. Don't know why it's not going on..... On a side note, i belive the clutch disk from Toyota is all the same for 3 speed and 4 speed. Just a circular clutch disk with rubber rollers instead of the springs like the one you have pictured. When I bought it, I bought it under the part number avaible for my 3 speed transmission at the time. I finally got my swap done just a couple of weeks ago. 4 speed transmission, 3 speed clutch disk (works on 4 speed), 3 finger clutch and flywheel. I hope your other disk works. To be honest., I didn't even pre fit mine and just threw it into the truck and it worked.

Make sure the long tall hub area of the clutch disk faces toward the engine. The smaller short side toward your transmission

Also, here I have a pic. You would think the clutch disk should be able to slide all the way, toward the transmission, when everything is out of the way like you have it. But take note, this is how my set up looked before I pulled it out when it had the 3 speed transmission and the "heavy duty" clutch. Notice how you can still see the splines on the transmission and the cltuch disk sits at the very end. Still, just double make sure with your other clutch disk just to be safe.

I put 2F stuff from the block back.

Honestly have never seen a 4speed use the 3 speed fkywheel and such. I’ve always swapped it all out
My 74 has the 4spd with the 3spd assembly.

I've heard there is more rotating mass involved in the 3 spd flywheel.

It's a 50yo low rpm (usually) engine, simple is solid.
