Hey!

So, recently my land cruiser started overheating when idle for extended period of time. Accordingly i have replaced the following parts with new genuine toyota parts:
thermostat, waterpump, temperature sensor, fan clutch (radiator/engine), fan motor (ac/the fan inside the grille on the corner).

The radiator is new and was changed around an year ago and maybe 30k kilometers before.

But the problem still persists, and my mechanic doubts for it to be air bubbles causing the issue.

This issue is non-existent while driving, and when idling using only front ac it takes a long time to heat but while using both front and rear ac, the car heats up around 10 minutes of idling.

This is the FSM troubleshooting section for the 1UR-FE, I assume that's the engine you have.

Fair enough. The GSIC I have didn't show the 2UZ-FE so I don't have a doc specific to that engine. I would think it would be the same though.

I'm curious to see the answer, TBH. Years ago my wife's Tercel had a similar issue. New radiator, water pump, thermostat, hoses, coolant, radiator cap, and it would still overheat in the summer unless she ran the heat. In her case it was both stopped and driving.

Overheating when idling only suggests possibly fan and airflow issues. Looks like you did some good maintenance to rule out some issues.

Do you have all your covers and shrouds in place, including the flat cover at the top between the grill and radiator support bracket? Did the new radiator include putting all the OEM gaskets back in place?

Did you have issues before the radiator replacement? Is the A/C condenser clean without mud and other debris so air can get through?

What other mods do you have like aftermarket bumpers and skids, as those can affect airflow.

The radiator was changed an year ago, before this over heating issue started. (As my radiator burst from The plastic cracking radiator issue).

I have no idea about the gaskets etc, but can you guide me on how to check on them?
