Do not think that you are going to find a 5" drop arm, but you should be able to use one from a Jeep CJ. I have used them on P/S swaps that I have done.

No affiliation, scroll down to the CJ

look at the cherokee as well. I pulled one from the pull a part. It has about 2" of drop and works well for me.

Re:Turn Signals for FJ45 Wagon

Say's 1968 on the title......I'm just now learning all the little details, but it's got a 45 V.I.N so who knows.

I'm going to head over to the dealer tomorrow and see how reasonable they are. Toyota guy here in town is notorious for being crooked.

Thanks though........................Tom IV

Might want to just buy a new one. They aren't that bad. Anything used will probably be pitted or bent at the least.

dont think we have "pull a part " up here in canada.....EH ;)

......i look on ebay and i see many drop pitman arms and some say that they are good for a 3.5" - 4" inch lift

******DROP PITMAN ARM WANTED******

All the ones I have tried have fit my saginaw box (camaro, wagoneer, monte carlo and cherokee). I have the 4 bolt mounting from a 70's monte carlo.

I am SUA with 4" springs and 2" longer than stock shackles. The cherokee drop seems to work fine.

FJ-80 Panhard Bar

Marv gets $80 for a used front panhard rod and $75 for rear.

4 speed tranny and transfer case

My tranny is on the way out.

I found a wrecked BJ60 ( same as FJ60 but diesel and sold in Canada in a junkyard in Wyoming. 1981 with 200k miles. They want $350 for the tranny and transfer case in good condition with no obvious damage.

Is this a good deal?

I figure that it they need work I should be able to get one set of tranny-tcase working for around $800 total invested with some shop time by using parts from both sets to get one good set.

Thoughts opinions?

Thanks

4 speed tranny and transfer case

Perfect time and excuse, as if you ever need one for a great mod, for a new Toyota five-speed tranny and t-case combo!

I would go that route.

4 speed tranny and transfer case

Good Deal? Shure, if you get it, and do not end up having to put a grand or more into having it gone through.

Then, I would seriously consider a NEW Toyota five-speed trans and t-case, as I stated before. This is the perfect time for such a mod. I installed a used unit that was purchased from MAF about three years ago now. The customer is very happy with his 60, and it makes the truck a lot more fun to drive, both on and off road. The lower first works great for the trailers that he pulls, and the overdrive works great for cruisin'.

Re:4 speed tranny and transfer case

I am putting a H55F in my 87 FJ60. I will sell the perfectly good 4 speed for $250. I am keeping the split TCase. PM me if interested.

By the way, what is your trans doing, that makes you think that it is "on the way out"??
