I called Nick yesterday and he just took my name and phone number. He also said something about a possible design/material change for the 3rd run headers, resulting in a different (most likely higher) price. That's all the info I got on it.

Yeah! What he said. To fit 2006/2007 LCs with air injection exhaust manifolds.
They don't fit with VVT-i. For reason's nobody knows, well one guy and I don't think he told us.
They do fit the stud pattern and the gasket on the vvt-i 4.7L V-8. The only reason they are not compatible is the air injection hoses on the '06/'07 exhaust maifolds. I just sold my NIB DT Headers from the second buy.
I'll take a set. That should make 15!

Nick said nothing is definite and they will decide in the next day or so. he promised to contact me directly and give me the full run down so I can post it here
First, they are not being redesigned to fit the 06-07
Second, they are only looking at a material change to make them more durable. They are considering switch to the highest grade stainless, and thats the extent of the change. He says they wer just trying to think outside of the box on how to make the product better.
When he contacts me, he will let me know all the technical aspects and what any price increas is, if any.
Don't get excited. Give it a few days and we will have our answers.

Nick just called me and here is the scoop
They noticed an issue with a different set of headers that it got hotter than expected, but still within its design limites. They want to continually enhance their product
they are switching to Stainless Steel 304, which he says is the best there is
1) Long term durability is improved
2) They won't rust . . .ever
3) They will retain heat better
He said those that have headers have a lifetime warranty and there shouldn't be any issues, but if there are they will take care of it
The Dealer cost for these will be $681. He said for THIS GROUP BUY he will do $600 plus shipping.
I told him we would have everyone get back with him and validate they are still interested and provide their credit card.
He estimated delivery around 6 weeks, so I would plan on 8

Sounds great to me! I would much rather pay a bit more and get 304 SS!
Will they still be ceramic coated or can I pay extra to have this done?
