It looks like we'll be moving up to a Hundie in the very near future. Any status on Cal smog issues (are the headers CARB'd?) I didn't see any responses to this (directly) and I would like to have some info to chew on. I'm almost ready to say I'm in, tho.
i believe they are 50 state legal.
I installed these last night on my 2001just for the performance gain, no ticking factory headers.
Well worth the time and money to get these!

- front bumper with winch
- rear bumper with tire carrier at minimum; jerry can carrier or ladder or other
- Dough Thorley headers with magnaflow muffler cat back
- upgrade headlights to HID or better bulbs
- snorkel
- raise your diff, transfer, and tranny vent hoses higher to keep water from getting sucked in
- skid plates
- tougher rear lower control arms
- ARB front/rear lockers
- Regear to 4.88 or 5.29 if putting in ARB lockers or not....read for comments to decide what you want
- build a set of storage drawers for rear of vehicle cargo area
- dual battery setup under hood
- weather tech or husky liner extreme weather floor mats for front, second and cargo area
- weather tech air deflectors for all four door windows
- and on and on and on and on and on and on....open your bank account now and look at the balance as it will never be that high again

They have applied for CARB compliance but have not received it. Ideally the CARB OE# is stamped on the header itself but in this case (2nd or 3rd group buy) they still have not received this so its not stamped. That's one of the reasons I'm selling mine.
Anyone interested in a set of headers? I bought them and realized I don't need them. My exhaust manifold wasn't cracked. Just loose. Tighten a bolt and the ticking sound went away. If you are interested I'll sell them for $600 plus shipping. That includes the Maifold gaskets ans exhaust flange gaskets.

I am seriously interested in a set for my 2001 LC.
Can someone please post detailed pics of these headers? I would like to see the design and build quality.
Do these eliminate the any of the cats? Is ceramic coating an option through DT?
