Guys, this is like a 1000 posts and 50,000 views combined on this event. That's an awful lot of prep work. I trust we're gonna see hundreds of nice pics and vids shortly to make it all worth it for us living vicariously through yall, right? Right? We are counting on you!! :)

I know some of us being road warriors have been putting a handful of pics in the Southern 100's thread. I'll try to put them in this one from now since we are in CO now and loving it.

Anyone know if you can get into 147.220 + (100hz) repeater from camp? I'll try it from Teluride tomorrow am. It is a linked system on San Antonio mtn that covers much of the San Juan's.

I can't speak to that repeater but Engineer Mountain has good coverage. Ill have my Yaesau and Baofeng. Dave, I would love to program off your laptop.

E99999. I'll start a trip report thread right after the event is over in the 100s section, get some traction there for a few days if thats ok. Posting in this thread would do no good being buried 42 pages deep.

I'm cool with that for a few days. Call it something specific like trip report pics etc (and try to have some 100-related stuff in there besides beautiful scenery). The best pics and vids would also be great in the stickied threads. You could even start it now since there are already some pics showing up. Up to you.

A few from todays run up Pikes Peak:

Thanks to you guys and those pictures I just can't concentrate at work today! Been here for a hour n got nothing done so far!
See you soon!

On the way up. At 11.8mpg!

Sent from my iPhone using IH8MUD, and hopefully approved by the NSA.

I'm trying not to do the MPG's....buts its bad!

I averaged 15.5-16 mpg on the 1000 mile drive out here. The trick is to keep your speed between 70-75 mph.

About to start the alpine loop at engineers pass. Will post pics as I have cell coverage!

I still don't trust your scan gauge. I don't get how you get significantly better mileage than everyone else on a regular basis. On all our trips you are 5-6+ mpg better than me.

Green chile stew was made last night. I decided to go easy on the green chile for all the folks not accustomed to eating it. But it's still plenty spicy. If I remember, I'll bring some extra chopped, roasted chile if you want to add more or just try it on something else. I'm going to apologize here for the overcooked potatoes but it's still edible. Have a few beers, maybe a couple green chile beers with it and you won't know any different.

Yeah, me too, recently drove 2500 miles, mostly interstate and the Scan Gauge was reading 13-16 AVG at every fuel stop.
My fill up calculations however were 11.5 - 12.7 tops. Mostly <12.

Speed is a huge difference, mine plummets hard at 80 or above, not too bad at 70, best around 50.

Halfway done with the alpine loop! Network too slow to post pics. It is pure awesomeness though.

TX never ends...

When it turns brown you'll know you're getting close.
