I have one and I'll be bringing it.

Nice. I think mine is out of tune as well.

Well I guess I'll start thinking about packing. Putting tires, rotors, pads and spacers on tonight. Alignment tomorrow. Hope to head out late afternoon.

Left Big Bend yesterday and made it to Angel Fire Via Mexico and White Sands today. Looking forward to Ouray!

You guys have a great time in Ouray. We just got back from there on Sunday and the weather was fantastic. The temps were warmer than our previous trips - as in wear tshirts/shorts out of the tent first thing in the morning! Rain got us on the last day as we were tearing down camp though but no complaints.

Be safe.

I'm at Pikes Peak right now. About to do the climb. I'm not even to 9,00 feet and my foot is through the floor! The only way to keep it moving. I feel bad, the DT Catback is so loud. And it's so peaceful...

Use your gearing--drop into 3rd or 2nd if you have to. I regularly drop it into 2nd out west going over mountain passes.

Don't worry, your Land Cruiser can handle it.

Made it to Amarillo KOA! This place is not camping! But at least we have a bed and air conditioning! 2 1/2 tanks of gas to get 400 miles!!! 3k rpm at around 80 mph is not the mpg sweet spot! I basically topped the tank off every stop (3 or 4) we made.

Ha! The sad thing is, that i am fairly serious about not knowing how to use it! i think i have it right, but i dunno really. Never used a "real" CB before. Hopefully looks aren't everything in me being funny!

i just did this minus the spacers and ended up putting in new races and bearings. if you can do a full rotor swap and pads in one night i bow to you.

I'll say! That's 1200 miles. 4+ tanks of fuel plus a food stop, you're looking at 18 hours. Drive safe and stop when you need to, no need to push it. Ouray isn't going anywhere.

Thanks gang! we are tag teaming this... Rolling ahead of schedule. About to enjoy some BBQ in Nashville, and knocking out a few more hours tonight. ABQ ETA: 10pm tomorrow.

I'm going to need some help on working my $35 ham radio that just arrived from amazon. I figured out how to turn it on and thats it so far.

Did you buy the Baefung? May bring my laptop and I have chirp installed with a config file of frequencies from nakman. I know how to scan and listen after that I'm no good to you. Still need to study and pass my exam.

Oh yeah! Another campfire thing I need done and could never figure out! The light on my Slee rear bumper needs spliced into wherever it supposed to go. I'm a moron I know. I just couldn't figure it out, and totally forgot about it until packing for this trip!

We made it to Teluride. The Cruiser sure did struggle going over the 10.5k ft pass! Living it up for a couple of days before we drop into Ouray. The weather is perfect up here. 65 degrees!

Guys, this is like a 1000 posts and 50,000 views combined on this event. That's an awful lot of prep work. I trust we're gonna see hundreds of nice pics and vids shortly to make it all worth it for us living vicariously through yall, right? Right? We are counting on you!! :)

And forgot the beer from the steak house...it wasn't fantastic anyway.

We are gonna have to keep track of who forgot the most stuff they needed and who brought the most crap they didn't even touch!!! That will be funny.

800 posts of chat, and 49000 views of attendees making sure they didn't miss real content...:meh:
Should be fun anyway!

Anyone know if you can get into 147.220 + (100hz) repeater from camp? I'll try it from Teluride tomorrow am. It is a linked system on San Antonio mtn that covers much of the San Juan's.
