Recently my power steering pump and pulley needed to be replaced in my 3Fe 80 series. I wanted to share my experience so hopefully you can avoid the troubles & wasted time I spent.
I spent some time looking for a good used one. With no luck & limited options. I decided to try the ones offered on eBay. They all come from the same manufacturer just under different names and sellers. The unit consists of a pump, reservoir and pulley. It took a bit over a week to arrive & the packaging was poor. The pulley was wrong but everything else seemed to be ok. After sourcing an oem pulley,I installed it & I was having a hard time bleeding the system. After multiple attempts and watching the fluid in the reservoir. I noticed there was no flow. The pump was dead on arrival. I ended up ordering another on rockauto & that pump arrived in three days and was packaged well. They obviously took pride in their product and had instructions in the box. This gave me confidence that my problem was going to be solved. 30 minutes later pump was installed and system was bled. The original company on eBay issued me a refund but it wasted over 2wks to get my vehicle back on the road.
I searched on here for reviews and found a few people who bought eBay pumps which gave me confidence to buy. But in the end Larescorp came through. If you ever need to replace your pump check rock auto or just buy direct from Larescorp.
Hope this helps anyone in the future.
