Nice. Any obstacles in doing those jobs yourself? Where did you get your new parts from?

I am new to the cruiser scene and have found this to be a very useful tool. I have researched everything from tire sizes and gears to the infamous "clunk". I appreciate all of the wisdom that is shared here and I am proud to be a part of your community. I just bought an all original from the original owner 1992 FJ80 with 336K on the clock and running strong. I am running stock gears with 35x12.5x15 BFG All Terrain's on stock "X" wheels. No lift yet but no issues either. New Birf's on order but other that she is perfect and runs like a champ. I have owned many Tacoma's and 4Runner's but the FJ80 instantly bonded itself to my heart. I live in Alaska and don't think I'll ever own anything but a TLC from here on out. Love the 3FE too (one of Toyota's finest IMO).
I have a 91 FJ80 (manufactured in Feb of 90). Maroon in color.
75mm Old Man Emu lift
ARB winch bumper on the front
12000 Warn winch
ARB rear bumper with tire & can carrier.
ARB Air Lockers front & rear
5:29 Nitro Gears
35" Toyo's on 17 x 9 black aluminum wheels.
Some bits from Man A Fre
Drop brackets from 4 plus
Safari Snorkel
Plans for
Iron Pig skid plate,
Roof rack,
Aux fuel tank (custom, pays to have friends in race car fab business)
Custom Rock sliders built locally (ideas from several pictures)
I'm interested in this valve cover clog that you mentioned. My '91 FJ80 is running a little rough, and has oil in the air intake and MAF body. The mechanic says worn rings, but I want to make sure it's not something else before I commit to a rebuild.92 FJ80, and I believe I am the champ so far with 220K on this high powered beast. Birf's done a little while ago, new PS pump, clogged valve cover wouldn't let the PCV system work and oil, oil, everywhere! Took a couple grand to figure out that one. Ugh.
Oh yeah, Mot hooked me up with rear LED's, clear blinkers/side markers, and Cdan took care of the front corners. Ripped the ghetto fabulous step bars, sissy crash bar, bug shield, window shields, and sunroof shields from previous owner (what was it with him and shields??) And now, it's starting to look cool.
Managed to stop a Dodge 1500 the other day when he couldn't seem to, and now I need a new rear bumper, any suggestions?
Oh yeah, burns no oil, PS fluid, coolant, or brake fluid.
Richmond VA or thereabouts.

Looks great! I like the black flares with the red - good combo.
