My 91 with 3FE 256K miles, paid $1200, then it broke, fixed it for $300. I picked up some J springs, shocks and caster cor. bushings, 48x69 confer rack, have a rear locker to install, herculined it, built a huge stinger since the front bumper was gone, 35" BFGs also in its near future. I get 20 MPG HWy,if I drive at 55mph and about 200 miles out of a full tank if I don't watch my speed.

Owned it 9yrs. I know it inside out and wouldnt get rid of it. Apart from havin standard lockers and the motor reconditioned after 23000kms!! My sig says the rest!!

20 mpg with a 3FE??? Not to doubt you but I don't think it is really that possible.
 
1991 Land Cruiser. 141k basically stock, K&N air filter, catalytic converters hollowed with a cherry bomb turbo muffler, and it has all the routine maintenance done (cap, rotor, wires, plugs, fuel filter, timing advanced, lifters adjusted, throttle and kick down cables adjusted, and ALL fluids changed). It is two tone silver metallic and dark grey metallic. Everything works perfect, drives like a dream.

92 226K Pretty much stock, Daily driver/Hunting rig.

It won't stay stock long. I picked up mine 100% stock on 11/25/09. From then to now it has been rhino lined, added a 2.5" lift, 33s then 34s, put in an Aussie Locker, custom front/rear bumpers and custom sliders. I think this is more addicting than tattoos.

I did a recent road trip and got 330 miles then filled up, but wasnt even flashing the low fuel light. Not all flat land either. 200 miles to a tank is not 20mpg..:frown:

whats up guys i am a:flipoff2:to all this and i have a few 3fe questions. #1 my truck has some good valve noise action and i was wondering if that was some what normal? eveyone i talk to says that it kinda is. #2 what is the best lift and rear locker for the money?#3 should i just go ahead and but longfield in just to prevent any future damage?

Use the search field for your questions, i.e, search valves, best lift, lift, locker, rear locker ,etc. You should have all of your general questions answered by reading a lot first. If you have specific questions you can ask in each thread as long as it is relevant to the original post. As a last resort you can start a new thread and pose your questions but you might want to use a single thread per specific question.

My main mods are OME J lift, I" body,35" BFG At's,30mm spacers up front, ARB front, T-Maxx 10k, Aussie Rear, 5:29s, cats removed, Flowmaster muffler,Scion head Unit,Home made Dual Battery kit,Home made part-time kit, Home made rear tire carrier. About to buy IPOR rear bumper. Needs paint bad, clear coat is toast. Slowly getting paint materials for this summers new paint job. Truck is my favorite Toyota Ive owned. More to come soon.

i was wondering it you could hit me up with the parts you used to make that tire carrier?

Issues: my inexperience in repairs (tire fell off recently after a day in the mud..)
 
1992 176K. It needs some TLC but drives great as it is. Don't worry the damage multiplyer is going away :cool:.

Just had to redo the head gasket...yeah - i know, that's not supposed to happen...well, it happened on the way home from buying it...
anyway, back together now and ready to mod it up!

My 1990 FJ80, part time, manual transmission. With factory rear tire carrier, roof rack, f/r lockers and PTO winch. All stock and use Toyota parts for maintenance. =)
