Just scooped up GHOSTS freshly degreased and media blasted to a delicate precision 3FE sheet metal valve cover

It was repainted over the factory let’s cll
It light PEWTER to a much darker version .

And F,g yes , grommets on , breather hose in place and I can then assume still
Bolted to the engine too …

Well my now in-depth 💯 % TOYOTA OEM japan spec parts de-smog is winding toward t here finish line

I have also started to bulk order the known and confirmed oem
Toyota parts for the soon to be new Bench-Mark 3FE de-smog kit complete with basic mini meme FSM style step by steps instructions included …

I will say that a lot of in between has gone on too

Like installing my updated 90A external snow version Genuine Japan spec 3F carb alternator and the single
Groove OEM pully too ..

I replaced the A/C tensioner and Rebuilt the P/S idler

The later 3FEz have that black big beer can size roller too

That has been sourced and will be available too

The NLA twin heater pipes that “ were “ NLA / DISC . Are well ….

No longer that status I can say factually and have been test fit and are a flawless wonder to see in place ….

I chose this 2 part finishing kit to get the cover back to stock best I can …

I have a super killer kool BLING SUPRISE too that all who like it can do / Install on there 3FE

Lasty ,

Fir the last say 4ish years I have been working the key board and phone to bring the upper t-stat housing to the table …

Back from the dead !!!

Well that is still a work in progress

But I have truly nailed the next best thing

And it’s a BLING 💍 and a solid thing too

More on that later …

Here is the cover naked ..

i have NO affiliation ...fyi

Looking to freshen up my 92. People love the LS conversions and all but I’ve been leaning towards a 2FE. Any one here tackled this? Any opinions on why not to? I’ve also considered a 5spd swap with a 3fe teardown and rebuild. Price is a factor but really trying to stay Toyota. Any advice and direction would be much appreciated. ALSO… if anyone knows of a place a guy can buy Hard brake line replacements. I really don’t want to tackle bending new hard lines to replace them.

very nice. Can you show me a close up pic of the power steering bracket for the Saginaw pump? Where can i get one?
The power steering mounting bracket was hand made by me. I did it in order to align the pulleys. I did not find any mounting bracket that worked fine in my town, so I custom made it. View attachment 3536907Here’s an old pic but u can watch what I did.

how did you re-finish your sheet metal 3F-E sheet metal valve cover ?

this is mine , i had it meda blasted and used part engine enaminal , base and clear top kote

this was the closest to factory OEM pewter color i could find

take note the 1st gen. hold down nuts , reproduction stainless from HERITAGE Cruisers here on MUD
I did find all the parts (gasket, sheet metal valve cover, screws, etc) here in colombia. We have a lot of factories that build those spare parts, and also u can find originals, and restore them. About the color I tried to get as close as possible to oem.

i WILL mail you a 3F engine badge DECAL if you like ?

no cost ,

international land cruiser gift to my friend in COLUMBIA ,,,,, BOGOTA

this is my 1/1983- FJ43L-KC ,

see front bumper , you know who made this logo , the BOGOTA TOYOTA dealer right ?

or no ?

Anyone have problems with their load sensing proportioning valve? I have a super mushy brake pedal and was told its this valve that has locked up? 91 FJ80, with 236,000 miles. looking for wisdom.

Thanks

do you have larger tires or lift on the 3fe? I disconnected the lever from the valve and safety wired it to the highest setting and it has been working flawlessly for the past couple yrs now. i am on a 3.5-4" lift on 37s.

No lift everything is stock, running 33's on OEM rims? What did you disconnect? Still new to the FJ80.

System was drain and refilled new fluid, by a shop.
I am not 100% certain the mushy pedal results from the rear proportioning valve. Mine was mushy and i ended up being a bad master cylinder. Also the proportioning valve only affected if you have a 2.5-3" lift or higher. Was the brake mushy prior?

master cylinder was replaced back in Sept 2022, new brake lines at the same time. I'm stuck?
