Maybe its their version of "Don't ask, don't tell". In the case of the 96 and 97 models that only require a happy OBD II reading and a happy gas cap, I guess maybe it is "Don't show, don't look?

Todd, I recommend Performance Muffler on 32nd St between Greenway and Bell. Fair prices and quality work. Talk to Russ. He did the exhaust on my 442, took his time and listened to my input. I'm very happy with the results. It's not close to the east valley but well worth the drive.
As for Mesa Muffler, I had them install my exhaust cut outs on the car, let's just say I wish I had done it myself, or taken it back up to Performance....

Michael's experience with the Blazer wasn't so good there, either - nothing catastrophic, but just not good
in contrast, Scottsdale Muffler did the work on his truck on the spot, and mine a day later in a couple hours

HOORAY SCOTTSDALE MUFFLER & EXHAUST!!!
Worked with Fred over there, got my truck back today and WOOHOO!!!! Fred is terrific to TALK with, not just sit there and be told how much things cost. I'd HIGHLY recommend this shop and am very glad I went with after almost pulling the trigger with EMS last year and BOSA more recently. Scottsdale was efficient, the workmanship is great, and the result is all I'd hoped for.
Moving on.........I unfortunately do need O2 bungs (2 for my 3FE) - what's the best place to source locally if possible? I can certainly drop by the Toyota dealership right off Gilbert Rd. near my place but if there's a smarter option, please let me know.

I ordered mine from Slee. Part SOF1097 $34.50 each. Someone else may know of other options.

Parts ordered - thx! What a cool company - I've seen the name enough times having been on Mud for a while now but didn't know much about them. Guy I placed my order with on the phone was great.....my kind of outfit.
Can't even get these bungs as separate pieces (hence Slee's product - I learned something new tonight!). Toyota sells the complete pipe with the cat and doesn't sell it any other way - dealer on this side of town quoted me $1K each!!!!
