Will they rub on the stock ride height? Asking because came across a set of used 35x12.5 r15 tires and my baby needs tires desperately but can't afford new ones any how does anyone know if they will rub?:bang:

yea thats what im running now but the tires are shot...the used tires only have about 50% tread on them...do you think they will still rub?

Oh yeah, the will definitely rub. I was goofing around once and stuck my 35x12.5's on my FJ62 that had an OME suspension, and they rubbed front and rear. So on stock suspension they will grind away all sorts of things.

they wont rub after a sawzall and some massaging with a your friend the big hammer i ran 35s with 2 inch body and ome lift with a little trimming

good luck

35s rubbed like mad when I had a 4" lift. I went SOA but a small amount of trimming would have also solved that problem.
your main problem would be smoking your clutch every time you want to take off with a gear ratio so far off if your talking about a 60 with 3.73s. 33s work well but the jump to 35 is almost as big of percentage change from stock tires to 33s ratio wise.

I have 35s on stock gearing and dont have to smoke my clutch every time I start. Its not ideal but in all honesty I really dont mind the stock gears and 35s. It takes a little longer to get moving but once you're cruising it take no throttle input to keep it cruising and the lower rpm's lead to better fuel economy. In Vermont we have hills, and I have yet to find one that I need to drop lower than 3rd for. That said, you'll rub.

I've seen 33"s on stock height, they rub

I have trimmed a lot of fender, and am running 35's with a 2.5" Dakkar lift.

I still rub in the front.

Stock, you'll rub all over the place.
