I run the RCV 300m up front with a part time kit to help them live longer. And nitro rears. Post a link for the 300m rears you found
Slee will have them soon according to posting above and Im still waiting to hear back from CTM axles info@ctmracing.com
the Nitros in the rear were the problem splines are too long and they twist up easy. and actually nitro TOLD ME, their axles were not made for what I do.

Well it’s official had time to pull a axle, at least one of my Nitro's is twisted , figured I would go for the passenger side since I have factory lockers and wanted to make sure the axle wasn't stuck. Had to fight it a little bit but it wasn’t too bad can’t say the same for the axle

Wow, that's not a good rap for Nitro axles.

Why the hell is the splined section so long?

Can't help with torsional elasticity?

I will pull the other side today and report back. This axle only has about 800 or 1000 mi. on it. It gets wheeled but I don't shock load it or hammer on it to bad.

wow, i agree, not a good look. Absurd spline design.

We will soon have 300M axles in stock from RCV. Kit would be $1k for both axle shafts (work for non elocker and elockers) with drive flanges and extra dowel with drill bit should you want to add more dowels. Axles are also designed to be removable if splines twist in an e-locker diff.
How soon?

So the driver side looks fine

That’s insane. I have a e locker in the rear and have pulled the axles over the years and recently. I have stock axles and always check for twisting and been good so far.

Well I just got off the phone with Nitro, They Only warranty axle that snap, twisted bent or worn axle are not warranted.
It's sad when you spend hard earned money on what you think is a up grade only to find the OEM is superior.
Even if they warranty it I would not put that back on my reg Failed too easy.
They all so said that the axle was made to twist and it did not weekend it. I said there's no way I would knowingly run a twisted axle.

Find it hard to imagine that a real proper HT chromoly shaft would plastically deform before an OEM yota shaft. My guess is these aren't properly treated. Can you figure out the HRC?

Yup, does that make them cut as opposed to rolled?
Yeah but even then, removing material from the rest of the shaft would allow the shaft to twist and deform along the unsplined section, which is better than getting one stuck in the e locker

I get what you're saying, I've never understood why these don't come already turned down to remedy the issue of getting stuck in an elocker axle.

300M RCV rears do, as soon as they are available those will go in.
