You mention the super long spline cuts as a weak point, and that makes total sense, but this photo makes me wonder how many OEM axles and aftermarket axles with the correct spline depth are twisted past the spline and we just can't see the evidence?
Funny you say that I checked the OEM axles with correct short spline and theres no evidence you can see from the metal grain its straight. Long splines are the culprit cant take any type of load force and twist, Nitro straight up told me "our axles arent meant for what YOU do"
At the very least, draw a paint line down the length of the shaft, using a straight edge, so you can see later if you have a twist in the non-splined section of the OEM shaft later on.

I appreciate this thread, I WAS seriously thinking of the Nitro rear shafts, but had heard hints of issues.
Nice to have a thread with several users photos to show the concern is legitimate and not just forum hype. Even better, to have a better (proper) aftermarket solution in the pipeline.
Has anyone had issues with the Nitro FRONT shafts? (Which I believe are made by RCV)
Nitro front shafts are not made my RCV. RCV sells their own front shafts and are no longer branded by anyone else. They used to be the old Longfields before Longfield was bought out.

No problem I would doubt it also If I didnt still have it in text, yes the nitro rep texted me that. Im making a lil video on now, so Im not going to add that but text me and Ill forward it. not a hit piece more of a cautionary tale. I did Imogene a few times, NOTHING major at all, if pinion didnt give it up I would have never pulled axles to check third member and find it, IN MOAB to boot.
It was a post, now I am quoting you. I don't have it in text but just like I said in post 32 the guy that I spoke with said that they were made to twist. And no warranty on Twisted axles
The 300M shaft picture is one we sent to @RFB is an RCV. We've been anxiously chatting with them back channel about the kits and finally got some pics from their engineering guys following their R&D checkoff.
Retail is $999. We have them loaded into our system and will be shipping as they arrive. Part# RAXRCV80300M
