I think what erked me the most was the service manager trying to convenience me the s***ty after market shaft that has failed multiple times was "factory".

…then you won’t mind me recording you repeating that statement…

I had to replace a shaft on my Tacoma in a hurry on a Sunday, and couldn't get ahold of an OEM shaft. Put in a shaft from Autozone, and in less than 5000 miles the replacement was trashed after the OEM shaft lasted 205k miles. CV shafts are one place I won't ever skimp. I personally can't even imagine who the aftermarket shafts are for? Shady car flippers? Surely nobody who keeps their vehicle for more than a year after install benefits from installing such trash.

As @MTKID mentioned, if you have SPC UCAs, and they are adjusted too far it can result in unsatisfactory CV angles. Even those s***ty CVs should have lasted more than a few hundred miles so it's worth checking to make sure your CV angles aren't too extreme.
