I think I saw that Cruiser Outfitters/Cruiser TEQ sold transfer reduction gears, both built and loose. Not sure if they have that specific ratio.

I see 3.1:1 but not 3.15:1, maybe call them. They're always helpful.

I believe Marlin Crawler and Slee also sell them. I bought mine through Slee, manufactured by Marlin.

3.11:1 is the common low range reduction ratio. We stock them by the dozen @ Cruiser Outfitters

Why would I pay more for the Japanese gears? Will the cheaper ones break?

They probably run quieter and look prettier, but it's hard to say without inspecting them with gear and metallurgy inspecting equipment.

It costs more to make things in Japan than in Pakistan. If nothing else you have a choice where you're money is going.

We have had zero failures with either. Machine work and surface finish is noticeably better on the Japanese made. I have shared side by side pics of the different gears here on Mud. I’ll see if I can find the thread.
