I did not intend to stir up the big debate about whether 2L-ts are garbage or not. Seems to me from reading on this site and others that they can have big problems if not taken care of. Seems that the 3-Ls have fewer. The 3-L is the engine I have in my Hiace. It's underpowered for what I do. I am wondering about throwing a turbo on it - is it a bad idea? Better or worse than a 1KZ-TE Hiace? I have read about more problems with that engine than with the 3-L, but generally people are writing about a NA 3-L. Any suggestions as to a source of suitable turbos?
