2F-E Swap for Fiona

hey yall been having a rough time here the last few months i changed jobs and financially i have really been hurting so all of my projects were put on hold for a while which sucks but life is what it is.

anyhow im soon to be starting a new job with much better money so i will be able to get some of these things going again.

first on the list is get my honda drivable i did a engine swap on it and still need a couple of parts nothing to expensive but i need to start the new job before i start spending money.

next will be pulling the busted birf from fiona and making her movable again

then will be replace rearend in my dodge (i blew the spider gears out)

then finally i will be caught up again and can hammer this engine out and send out the cam get it all in and together and drop her in and see what happens!

after the 2F-E is in i will be doing a SOA on her so thats my motivation and believe me im motivated!!!

Well same old song and dance, lots of time but no money...

I think i have most everything to get this thing pretty much together so i can actually finish this loooong over due side project of mine.

did a little work on it today and realized i forgot to post pics of it aftr i got the head back on...

Pulled the distributor as well to swap em. here are the 2 side by side its obvious to see the difference between the 2.

Then i realized "Oh s***, i have to swap the cam too!" so pulled the rockers off, pulled the side cover so i could get to the lifters...

1.) pic of rockers off and side cover off
2.) block number on the 2F nothin fancy just took a pic of it.

after looking at the 3FE and realizing i didnt have a wrench to pull the crank bolt off with cause someone stole it from or garage... then i then started thinking again...

Why the hell did i HAVE to pull the cam?.... I didnt... i was gonna pull it cause the 3FE cam is supposed to have a larger lift and duration than the stock 2F cam and since i dont have the money to send off for the cam like i had originally planned i was gonna swap in the 3FE cam.

well then i started thinking again... the 2F cam was superseded by the 3FE cam... well i happen to have a brand new cam sitting in my garage... and lifters... and the new updated cam gear that doesnt have the rubber dampner on it.

well since i already have front cover off and the side cover off im gonna go ahead and swap in the new cam, lifters, and cam gear i have then drop in the 3FE dizzy.

so i miced the new can and the old cam and measured the base cirsl and found that the new cam has a .005" taller lift on the intake side, so that is some decent news and means it wasnt a total waste of time pullin it all out and puttin it all back in.

Trying to find my damn fuel pump block off plate and cant seem to find it.... if it wasnt enough i overpaid for it cause i was to lazy to make one but now i cant find the little bastard...

as promised!

1.) pullin old cam out, you can see the dampner built into the gear in this pic
2.) couple of marks on the old cam
3.) once its out you realize how tall it really is.

1.) i was micin the cam lobes trying to see what the differences were.
2.) new lifters greased up and in after i got the cam in.
3.) new cam, and cam gear installed.

1.) another shot of the old cam after i got the cam hold down off of it and put gear back on.
2.) Side cover on, dizzy in, and valve cover resting in place.
3.) shot from the front.

1.) little something i started on, still need to clean it up and finish it.
2.) nother side shot, it already looks better with all that emissions crap gone!
3.) just a bug i saw on the window of my dodge while i was outside.
