Weather-Pak connectors, good choice! Yeah, figuring out the crimp order is a pain. I always forget at least one seal on a multi-connector! Or get the wrong sex pin in the right connector.

Coil pack connected
Dizzy connecter.
Ignitor connected

All good so far.

Grinding the Ali ignitor mounting to fit.

Opps the nice anodized red came off :crybaby: You can also see the mounting bar for the coil packs temporarily bolted in place. while cabling is done, it's usual bolts are on the bottom of the inter cooler.

Left so far

Also connected the PCV hose and the water hose to the oil cooler and spark plug leads.

wow i just read this hole thread start to finish last night and this morning took about 5 hours. an amazing amount of info. I admire your commiment to such a project and look forward to seeing what this can do on a dyno at the end.

well done and good luck with the wiring:clap::clap:

Had a good day checked my wiring from yesterday and happy with all so far all makes sense

So today saw the injectors all connected as well as the water temp sensor and water temp sender for the gauge.

Also fitted the solid-state 30 amp relay that supplies all the ECU's 12V.

Ran the 12V supply to the ISC stepper motor so that's now complete.

Left to do next Monday

2 wires to the O2 Sensor
2 Ground wires
1 Wire Air con Request
2 wires to fuel pump + a relay(solid state again)
2 wires Boost control solenoid.

Then I just have to move a few of the original electrics around. Head light relays. Which would be right next to the Turbo if left where the are. As well as the old wiring for the LPG system.

Plumbing is also all most complete.

So really only the fuel system to fit.

THAT LIGHT IS GETTING REAL BRIGHT :steer:

Good stuff and you will have a much greater understanding of it all now that you did it yourself.

I LOVE THIS THREAD! :D

Between the FJ6.6 thread and this, I can't wait to see both finished (even if iaintscared hasn't really started yet)...

Matt is doing a bang up job, Can't wait to see it done. Maybe when I finish mine and Matt decides to make a trip up from OZ we could see what they can do side by side. Me I am in the hunt though. I just haven't hit the ground running yet. Two left feet don't ya know!

Ok the wiring is as follows or at least the harder parts :D

Dizzy

Toyota's 3FE dizzy has three wires leaving it.

IMG_0002-1.jpg

Red = G
Black = -G
White = NE

1st the Input Trigger Connector, the Shielded cable that runs from this changes the colours to

A18 Red/Yellow not used
A28 Brown/White = Green
A29 Blue/green = Red
A30 Gray/Green = Yellow

I have connected these.

Green + Red
Blue + Black
Yellow + White

Ignition wasted spark for 1-5-3-6-2-4

Next up the Ignitor

Now the coil pack has 4 wires
Coil 1 Green
Coil 2 Yellow
Coil 3 Red
Ground Blue

1 Green
2 Black/Brown A12
3 Red
4 Blue
5 Black/Orange A14
6 Yellow
7 Black/Red A13

Matt,

Can you please elaborate on your blue heat shrink. Is is just heat shrink, or a high heat type? Are you going to place a plastic loom over it? I was just asking and wondering about heat from the engine and how it will hold up.

P.S. - your bezel key chain was shipped today! ;)

Hi Heat Type by Worth and whooooo now I am excited :bounce:

May yet house it in a hard loom but unsure how heat resistant that is as yet.

Well time to set a date

Dyno at PGS 4x4 is booked for the 19th May, trailering her down Friday the 16th.

As you all know a lot of hard work has gone into this and for those who have taken an interest I would like to say thank you for your patience we are nearly there.

For those that have posted suggestions some of which have been incorporated in to the 2F-ETI a huge thank you for you help and wisdom along the way, this is what this site is all about.

Oh and yes and I'm in my partner's good books again :D

Whoooooot! Man, make sure to video (with sound!) the dino test, I can't wait to hear that thing roar!

Oh and I'd keep your 'partner' away from open flames

Looks like he just smoked a good one, got the sh*t eating grin... :D

DVD Sony Camcorder is already charged and ready, but will my hands be steady enough to hold it :D

As for the kitten it's just way to cute for it's own good :princess:

Plenum gasket in place and all bolted up for the last time.

My glove box :D

Ok next up oil lines too and from the Turbo and water in and out.

Test fittings removed from the inter cooler just need to pick up some 90 degree feeds.

Wiring is all complete apart from the 2 to the fuel pump relay, and the un used extras to tidy up.

Getting there, Dyno now 14 days away :steer:
