Costco did not want to put these on my truck, but I told them they would fit.
I'll find out very soon whether the forum is right.
The forum is 'right'. Probably no fewer than a hundred of us with 285's on our LX's.
It is about the largest tire that will fit back under the spare tire location, but has PLENTY of room in your wheel wells and won't rub when turning or flexing the suspension.
Costco around here will only install tires that are within 3% of original size... or what is on the tire info placard.
Will this not affect the speed on the speedometer when the tire size increase. I'm planning on my lx 470 2005. But I am still doing my search. (forgive me,I'm still new)I have 285/75/16 BFG's on my 98 LX470 and they look and ride great.

Oh ok.Yes, but its minimal. About 3 mph on mine. (you'll be going faster than indicated).
Install a Yelloxbox and recalibrate for the difference if you want accurate speedometer display.Oh ok.
I'm thinking of putting a bigger tires.(just for the look) But I don't want to have a speed tolerance on my speedometer. As in uae the speed radars are catchy and everywhere
