if you can find a model number on the box, google for the manufacturer, the manufacturer can tell you which fobs will work with it

Nearly 6 years since the last msg on this thread, time for a bump! I found the thread very useful and helped me - am just about done installing the same system - $19 at Amazon "uxcell Universal Car Remote Control Central Kit Door Locking Keyless Entry System Car Alarms"
My 1997 LC doesn't have always-on 12v power in the drivers door.. so am putting it up above in drivers kick panel. Easier to tie into lights/horn from this location anyway. The system has a "trunk open" button.. which could be used for something interesting, like turn on roof lights.

It is always satisfying to get a nest removed. I use wire and connectors normally used for quadcopter builds. A little extra work, but the wire is nice quality, designed for high vibration, and the connections are good. Not to mention the flexibility of the wire helps you really tuck things away neatly.

This system is still going strong. Only has a couple quirks that I have learned to avoid. If the doors are locked via remote before all the doors are shut, the remote will not unlock them and if the doors are locked from the inside and then shut, the key fob does not unlocked them either. Other than that, I think I am on my 3rd or 4th battery.

First issue. Plastic holding the fob clip on broke off. I may have leaned on it oddly in my pocket but not entirely sure.
