I took your complaint seriously and did a little research and where you see a problem I see an opportunity. Behold in all its glory.

That's perfect, sure beats sitting on the sidewalk at Buc-ee's, why no tables, I've never understood.

But my Buc-ee's cup still does not fit.

We don't have Buc-ees here so I was not familiar with the size of the cup.... but doesn't your LC have a passenger seat? That should fit in the passenger seat.

92 pages and not a single person has said they hoped it would be based off the Mega Cruiser.

I'll throw my name in the hat. I'd love to see something new based off the MegaCruiser. They drive like a dream :D

You're like one of four people that have driven a MegaCruiser lol.

Stop by SLC, I'll show you around the museum and let you drive a MegaCruiser.

The number is bigger than 4, at least 14 :D

Sooo I think we have sufficiently de-railed this thread…we should cover what is everyone favorite beverage when out on the trail. It at least goes w the buc-ee comments.

What size is that Buc-ee's cup? One gallon? There are not many things I can drink a gallon at a time.

@cruiseroutfit, speaking of the museum, do I have the event schedule correct or are all days media access and test drives combined?

Saturday July 29th - Display Setup
Monday July 31th - Media Access Day 1
Tuesday August 1st - Media Access Day 2
Wednesday August 2nd - Media Test Drives

Lol. I like how they have the marketing material with shots inside a Bentley. Nothing like enjoying a sausage on a stick while inside one of the finest interiors from Crewe……

I always had a thing for those Monteverdi Safaris (boutique skinned International Scout) built in Switzerland.

My dad had a '74 Scout so probably the reason why

International Scouts bring back a lot of memories to me. As a kid in the 1980s I went to a summer camp that did "Jeep rides" in old Scouts. At first they pulled kids in these yellow trailers but when that was deemed too dangerous they installed wood benches with metal railings in the back of the Scouts. Kids were occasionally getting thrown out of the trucks but it was the 80's. I still remember the softball sized bruises on my biceps from clutching the railing for my life. They eventually got smart and use this now (Jeep M715 I believe):

Here is a good video of them in action. Just imagine the same thing but 35 years ago in the back of a Scout on a bench seat with no seat belts.

Okay.

If you don’t like the direction Toyota is taking that’s fine. I will not invalidate that as it’s valid for you. However if you don’t like it there’s no reason to argue against those who are interested.

There’s been much waste in this thread and we keep dialogue on point. Straight banter should be in chit chat.

Not once have I argued that a person shouldnt purchase the soon to be released school bus LC

What I HAVE done is present historical and current sales data (jeep/bronco/lc) that shows massive consumer demand in US for for LC's similar to what is offered RoW but not offered in the states.

That same data shows that the Toyota US approach to scaling back the lexus living room to be the LC offering in the US is demonstrated to be a losing formula wrt sales.

I expect they will see 1-3 years of mediocre sales then back to the same old 2k-3500 units sold each year which doesnt pay the bills to justify the offering.

We'll see in a couple years.....

@jayp2, you just love to see a 3+ day argument continue, I thought this died yesterday, but no, you just keep at it. We have heard your argument described by you in ten different ways.

WE ALL GET IT!

ENOUGH ALREADY, PLEASE DROP IT!

I think in the last 96 pages we've discussed this several times, but what the heck... 😁

I don't think the 4 door wagon with modern tech is a failing approach out of the gate. What I do agree with you about now that it will be a failure (at least long term) if it's turns out to be another $85k luxury wagon, regardless of off road prowess. My wife stopped at a local dealer then other day out of curiosity when she saw a 200 on the lot. They wanted $89k. That's insane... Vehicle prices across the board are nuts right now though.

Hopefully the LC250 will roll out with a cloth or softex seats a rear locker and crawl control. If Toyota gets the styling right and the price falls in between the 4R and Sequoia then I think they'll have a winner. (relatively speaking, as I still don't understand the overlap between similar models)

they'd better nail that 3rd row too
