Looks like how Toyota should have built it !

Hello,

This is a great truck.

With an H15x transmission and a 200+ HP engine, there is no need to shift to 4WD, low range, for the truck to drive itself.

You might want to try releasing the clutch slowly in 2WD, first gear. It works even on mild slopes.

We are just testing it to make sure it is good to go. Not being real hard on it but not being easy on it either.

2wd 2nd off the line is no probs but I have never been a guy who drives a stick by skipping 1st.

We are down to the last few items on the check list! 🤩

Cheers

@SNLC do you know the ramp rate that was used?

You can see that in one of the videos. This is a Mustang dyno so not the best and it has nothing in it for a Cruiser like this so we went with a 200-series for a base.

Sorry, missed it. That makes sense as max torque is later than I'd have expected.
I bet she's fun as the turbo comes on song!

Clay barred, polished and ceramic waxed! 🤩

And it was done.

Bravo.

Still at the shop, just burned a whole can of this on the under bed crossmembers.

79 is up on the lift, getting ready to do some videos and a few pics of chassis. It’s done so also a final walk around video this evening if I have time before dark.

Cheers

So here is a chassis “walk around video”.

I attempted twice to do a topside video at the “magic hour” for lighting. Phone friggin’ crashed both times at about the 12min mark, it’s probably going to be a 15-20min video. My iPhone8 with 120gb is almost full with over 15,000 pics and over 1,200 videos! See if I can clear some of that out tonight. It also doesn’t like ambient over about 95* and it was every bit of 100* ambient at the end of today. I will try the topside full walk around video tomorrow morning or evening. John is all about getting this Cruiser shipped ASAP but I doubt it gets picked up this weekend. I hope not as we could use another 2-4hrs on it to make it 110% but it won’t be a deal breaker if they grabbed it this weekend.

Changed out diff fluid after break in with fresh gear oil, same for tcase. Trans we put Redline MT90 in after break in. Been over the chassis and engine bay checking torque on hardware I think three times now!

Crazy feeling when you come to the end of one of these builds that take 1-2yrs!! Ya want them to go home, at the same time you don’t and are tweaking (like a meth head, old school saying) on every single little thing to make sure it is absolutely perfect.

John is ready for this one, I know that!!

Cheers

I was wrong, phone crashed but I still got the two topside walk around videos up to the crash. Here is the second one, slightly darker with fading light. I will just break this up into two parts and this is part #1.

Cheers

Here is the final walk around video!

That pretty much wraps it up, build complete and lots of content from us of before, during and after the build.

@jomelo here it is awaiting pickup! 😁
