I run the O'Reilly Super Start Platinum 34RPLT 775 CCA 55Ah in my DD.

I've had great luck with it so far. It is an AGM.

I have an advantage of great discount with O'Reilly though.

Bit of bad luck with Advanced Auto batteries. Had one cell go bad in Boost's 27F battery, about 8 months out of 3 year warranty of course, so swapped the battery out of Foo, and it was bad too. same 27F from Advanced auto about 11 months out of warranty.

Plan to go to costco and get one of their interstate batteries, and may look at AGM.

Anyone have recommendations?

Which advanced auto battery did you have ? I have an Autocraft gold that I think is going on 5 years or so.

I had a hard time tracking down at 27F at Costco for my 100 last winter, I ended up replacing the 8 year old Toyota battery with a new one from Toyota that has an 84 month warranty. I think it was $119 from Molle. I also had an issue with the advanced auto battery failing shortly after the 3 year warranty was up on my 80 and did get a 24F from Costco, no complaints after 2 years with that one.

That's quite a warranty. Way more than anything else you can touch at that price point.

Costco has the 27f, they call it a interstate 36 on the LInwood location. $90. and 3.5 year warranty.

Called Toypta, about $100, made by interstate. 2 year replacement, and 7 year pro-rated. Think I will go that way.

Finished the bed today.....

Thanks Kelly @2fpower for the on off magnet clamps. Once I figured they held tube it made life easy to build a fender cart out of scrap

I have heard of many people grind a "V" in an issue like this and use JBWeld and never have an issue again.

Would you drain the coolant, pull the freeze plug, clean it all up and do the repair or just cut a groove in the front face and JB weld as-is? It’s not leaking any coolant as it sits now.

Also, I’d like to take you up on that offer to use your press for my bushings whenever is convenient for you.

Making room for some real tow points on Lexi's ARB

All cleaned up, now to find something to weld in there.

@cjmoon do you have the press tool, or is it with Pat?

Thanks to @2fpower the new 1/2" plate for tow points is burned in to the ARB and added some holes for new front rock lights courtesy of @cjmoon connections with the Orient.

i have press tools but not the original set I gave you. I made a second set for me to keep. just made the last piece for the rear uppers that i don't think i made before? is that the one you need? I'll make another for the loaner set.

I can text pat to see if he still has the original press tools.

Tore apart the knuckles and rear drums on the 40. Rebuilt wheel cylinders. Waiting on new parts to go back together.
Does someone have the centering tool I can borrow? Hoping to do this next weekend, then I’m ready to test fire and drive it out of the garage.

I have a stack of new old stock OEM wheel cylinders rebuild kits for early 40 if you need them.

@tornadoalleycruiser should have the centering tool. It can be frustrating to use if you have not done it before. Erik taught me, and I am glad to come out and pass on the knowledge.

Ick. Drums. I hate adjusting those so I do disk conversions at just about the same cost as redoing drums. Yeah I have the sst.

Thanks, brah. I have good kits and a brake hone already, so unless I tear something I should be good. I've got most of them rebuilt already. I'll reach out to Erik for his expertise!

Added AC to Rosey's truck today.
