The Tundra rotors are about .5" larger in diameter, but the same thickness as the Land Cruiser.... so they can produce more brake torque. The larger diameter holds 1.5lbs more gray iron per rotor, which is the larger reservoir. There is also more surface area to help rid the rotor of that energy.
The 2016 now has the larger Tundra brakes... except for the units sold in Mexico, they still have the 13.4" brakes.
The 2016 items will likely retrofit. There is no bracket, the caliper has extended mounting lugs to clear the larger rotor.
Good news, the chicken tax will be phased out. meaning Toyota (and other Japanese brands) can actually afford to sell cheap imported SUVs and Trucks...which may lead to the "stripped down" 200/300 that many people want.
