I’ve got a 200 in the shop that I’ve snuck in between a couple of major 40 projects. One just done. One that’s about to start.

This is a nice Mississippi 200 that’s in for Slee Sliders, Slee Front bumper, Dissent rear….Dobinsons update, tires ….. may be forgetting something

Saturday I tackled the sliders. This is the 3rd set I’ve done and once again they took me 6 hours. Figured I could shave some time being a little versed in them but no. It’s just a lot of stuff to do.

One thing I don’t understand yet it how to wire the Slider LEDs. It’s a LC so, unlike the LX it does not have a wire for the running boards.

Yesterday I tackled the majority of the front bumper

It takes about an hour to unpack all the pieces and get through Slee Step 1 “Organize your work area”

The rough cut is the scariest part of this job

I took an hour out yesterday and loaded up on a Asada Torta

This Come Up 12.5 … you have to clock the knob. It faces forward and will hit the bumper. My 9.5 on the Whale was facing up so I was able to skip this step

One thing I learned was to put the Rigid lights in before the bumper goes on. Way way easier to do on the table versus the truck

Once you get the money bumper level using the numbers Slee provides you start tightening the 100 bolts

Once you get the bumper right it’s time to mark the 2nd cut

This needs to be 5/8th and this is the best trick my buddy showed me.

Find a washer that is 5/8”

Then roll the line all the way around

You get a perfect line to cut.

At this point I’m 8 hours in and tired. I quit for the day.

This morning I used my air body saw and knocked out that cut. Then you have to remove the remaining shell and install the trim.

On the very center section I cut it down to .4 so the trim will clear the stinger. I did not do that on mine. Just made the same cut all the way across and my trim hits the stinger.

I’ll give this cut an A- up from a B I gave myself on my truck.

Lunch is over. Going back in.

I cannot comprehend how anyone could dream this tire carrier/table thing up. It’s incomprehensible to me that all that just comes in a box and bolts together like that.

Props to Dissent for this thing

It can be daunting putting the first one together with all of the pieces due to it being modular but looks like you knocked it out of the park! Feel free to let us know if you ever have any questions/issues

The instructions are good. I’m a dope though so I can find a soft spot in them.

Took a week off and went to California. Went to see @orangefj45 at Valley Hybrids and then hung out with Red in Santa Monica

Ran errands and got caught up on life and then finished off the bumper.

Nothing in the instructions about the Licence plate bracket but my brain finally wrapped around it. Also added the Hi Lift bracket. @JTU send me a Hi lift….

Wish I would have known you were coming thru LA Nolen, would have been great to take you guys to lunch!

Took the 200 to 49Tire yesterday for a fresh set of 285/70r/18 Nitto Recon Grapplers

This morning I met Austin early at Its Vinyl Yall for a wrap on the door trim chrome and a tint match on the front doors.

I cleaned it up good and filled both tanks to the brim

Sitting pretty. Almost finished.

What was your logic for Slee in the front and Dissent in the rear?

I have the Slee rear and am envious of that little fold-down table on your tire swing-out. I’ve fashioned a piece of wood that works great as a table in that Sam’s spot, but it takes about a minute to set up so I find myself not using it as often as I should (yes, I’m that lazy). A one-handed and quicker operation is what I need.

You would have to ask @JTU

I did not buy the parts or make any of the selections.

Looks great, I dislike having a swing out all the time and like the fact it can be added/removed when not needed.

Other than the obvious trimming of the plastic bumper cover, are there any other body modifications that are necessary?

Thanks!

Just the plastic cutting but thankfully JTU had done all of that before I took over the project

Drove the 200 up to @Ozark cruiser at Ozark Overland today. We got the springs swapped out to a higher spring rate in the front. Also added new brakes all around.

Tomorrow we do some wiring and I take it back
