I have mine setup the same way and IMHO it should be one of the top 5 accessories one should make.

Several reasons it should never happen:
  1. It's coiled over the SS braided air line so it has a fixed point to which it is attached and can't shift too much.
  2. It cannot come uncoiled because both (male and female) ends are connected together to keep dirt out of the line and prevent a loose end from dangling.
  3. It's a pretty large cable tie and everything is far enough from the engine, exhaust and other "hot" items to not cause any issues. Heck, use 2 cable ties if you like!
I've driven 10's of thousands of miles including severe washboard, rock crawling, many, many many dirt trails with this setup and NEVER had any issues at all, not even coming loose, only the convenience having everything right were I need it.
I’ll look at it on the truck, my plan is to use the chuck on the bumper I will install, I have plenty of storage in the back. I don’t think I would want to keep mine in the engine compartment when I’m able to simply pull it out of the back. I do see your point of convenience, I’ll give it a good looking over tonight

I bought these panels to mount some pouches for flashlights, recovery gear, and misc well used items

So far I reply like them, it’s handy not to search for stuff when I need it

I also packing a trama kit, to be mounted on Velcro

The goose gear plate system is awesome, it allowed mto remove my third row seats, which honestly were pretty heavy

the fit is tight and leaves room for wiring inside the wings

I gained at least 6 inches of storage, doesn’t sound like much but with a fridge in means a lot

it’s bolted securely to the floor with 6 M10 bolts and fits tight against the second row seats

I keep putting off buying the GG plate because I am really waiting the release of the sleep platform but as expected it keeps getting delayed in favor of other obscure builds. Great products albeit rather spendy.

I plan on buying the 4 runner stuff, or making my own

their drawers and raised sleep platform should fit, it not I’ll trim. It will be nice for solo trips where I do not want a rtt weighing me down.

yes it’s really good quality, very expensive, but I can tell the thought put into it is worth the cost. I’ll just buy it when I can or need to.

I need a fridge slide soon, ill try my hand at extruded aluminum, if all goes well I’ll copy their ideas, and build my own stuff

I added a rear blue sea outlet, a fuse block under the drivers seat, and replaced the stock usb outlet for a blue sea high amp usb charger, wired to the fuse block. It’s always hot and quite nice camping to be able to plug the phone in whenever I need to

Finally everything arrived and bolted on, I’m super impressed with the radflos.

After my direct comparison to the 80 series, the GX is smooth as butter, im very happy with the amount of flex and ride quality.

Everything is coming along nicely, I need to get out and really wheel it after the sliders arrive

So the Radflo suspension has really been impressive, I can travel much faster offroad comfortably, without bashing the vehicle

I’ve taken a couple of trail rides one of which was Uwharrie and mangled my factory gas tank skid plate, so some RCI skids are going to be coming after Christmas.

this truck is very capable, I would say on par with my rear locked 80 series offroad. If far more comfortable, and adequately flexible.

with the 34” tires I really need a regear and would like to add a rear locker at the same time.

I think with the rear locked, atrac, and a good winch I will be set for what I’m capable of driving.

Here are some pics, and yes a Jeep pulled me off the rock, and also yes, if I could drive better it wouldn’t have happened

I have to agree with your assessment comparing the abilities of the 460 to an 80-series. I miss having the solid front axle, but the ride quality and comfort is in another universe on the 460 haha. While I like the fuel economy and power I currently have with 285/70's, I think the peak performance of this platform would be to have it regeared, locked (rear) and on 285/75's (34's). That's my ultimate goal anyways.

yes, I’m running 285/75s and with atrac only I’m very impressed.

I want to run 4.88 and a rear Eaton, I would be super happy for the life of the truck in this configuration

the ride quality is amazing, quick in the road, smooth on the trail, and you can carry near the same load as an 80

not to mention KDSS is a champ with a roof tent

But you can’t replace a quality built 80, I’ll keep her in the garage. 24 years later and it’s still doing the job. I hope the GX holds up as well
