***Edit*** I would like to change the tires. Currently it has MT 285/75/16s on 9 inch rims. I would like to bring it down to 265/76/16 but I think that might be too narrow of a tire. Does anyone know where I can order rims for a 70 series? I wouldn't mind the original size rim and putting a 235/85/16s on it.

I bought a 2009 1hz troopy from Panama. The shipping and logistics took a while but we are so happy to have it and start exploring this summer.
It has a 2 inch lift OME and ARB suspension. LC roof rack with light bar and rooftop tent. A slide out stove, fridge, counter and bench that converts to an inside bed.

Beautiful truck and unique color for a 70 series. Hard to tell, but it looks like you have the old style dash, which I like more than the newer style.

More pictures!

Insane. That color is outstanding.

Nice Troopy. Congratulations. Looks like the original 5.5 x 16 is still available. Part number 42610-60320. Looks like they can be had for under $200 each....at least south of the 49th Parallel.
Thanks, who has those for sale? I googled that part number, seems like offshore companies. Are they really 5.5 inches wide? I thought the original was 7.5.

There are a few mining supply companies in Canada that buy and modify 70 series for the mining industry.
They often have new take-off parts that they will sell, like wheels and truck boxes.
Ens out of Sask. rings a bell.

Where in NS are you. Fly out to Halifax for two weeks tonight.
Got friends and family on the Eastern shore.

I could have been a bit hasty in implying they were readily available in the US. Partsouq has them but shipping would be excessive.

Edit: $161 each but shipping is over $100 per. Here's what 5 to Canada looks like:

Thanks for the ENS tip, I will reach out to them today. They might be a good source for any future parts I might need.

I'm down on the South Shore, pretty close to the furthest southern point in NS. Enjoy NS, if you like beer find Black Angus. You can get it in the local liquor stores, brewed in Cape Breton.

Thank you, I have seen some of these for sale on marketplace but usually in Ontario. $100 for the rim and Dunlop.

I have watched a few videos on wide vs narrow tires. The 235/85 seems to be the best choice as many have mentioned.

Just make sure that you don't wind up with the steel retaining ring rims (unless of course you want them). They were an OEM choice for your Troopy according to the part's diagram. I have them on my KSA 45 Troopy and KSA FZJ75 pickup and plan on keeping them; but I wouldn't buy them if I was buying new rims.

I am waiting to hear back from a company that fits out LCs here in Canada for the mining industry. They have a lot of the split wheel rims cheap. I don't mind getting those unless there's a downside I don't know about. Assuming some garages won't want to mess with them but I'm assuming a truck shop would know how to mount the tires.

I don't see a lot of options online for the 5x150 rims. A couple of very expensive Japanese aluminum rims but I don't want to pay $3000 for 4 rims.

If you buy the retaining ring rims you can still run radial tires with tubes. You just have to buy tubes specifically made for radial tires. I assume they are just thicker given the additional flex of radials vs bias plys.
