2009 200 Series - CT (1 Viewer)

Still lurking, but hoping to pick up a 200 series to be legitimate. I have my eye on this car: 2009 Toyota Land Cruiser V8, $33085 | Cars.com

Main problem is that I live in Southern California so I can't just get in my car and check it out. According to the carfax there is a one year gap that doesn't show any maintenance and I worry about rust since it is back east. Are those valid concerns? Also, how common is it to hire an independent to look at a vehicle?

Agreed. You already live in one of the best places in the country to find rust free well cared for vehicles, so I would look a couple thousand miles away where rust is virtually guaranteed. If you find a really low price in the northeast there's probably a reason for it.
