Thanks guys, it was not showing any signs to me either but figured I would ask the experts!

....and the advice to save the cash for gas shows you are a 200 owner!

If you’re really worried grab a plastic repair kit and a piece of fiberglass and toss it in your car kit. I ran mine for 2 years POST crack with a patch on it.

Hello. I have a 2013 lx570. 135k. Just had the radiator changed at the dealer. They used part number

164-50382

Is this the right radiator? Thanks guys.

That is the old design. Toyota hasn’t made those since early 2018, they must have had it sitting around for a very long time.

It will easily last more than 100k miles but will probably have the same failure as the original eventually.

Dang that’s messed up

I would come unglued if a dealer pulled that on me

To be fair, unless you specify the new design they technically did what the customer asked, with factory parts.

It would be different if Toyota had ever formally acknowledged this issue, but they haven’t. They just quietly changed the design.

Isn’t the old part number/design superseded in the Toyota system to the new design/part number? If so they should have at least asked the customer which part they wanted installed, old design we’ve had in the back since 2019 or the updated and newer part. I wouldn’t be too happy

Good point.

@moosebakir is that -50382 number on your invoice or did you find it somewhere online?
