I've had a few different fuel pumps. After sitting for 90 days my walbro quit holding pressure. So I was getting way long cranks on hot soak restarts.
The walbro failed shortly and I put in an Reilly returnable $150 import direct pump. Same thing, hot soak start long cranks @ 15 PSI @ at 60 minutes. Won't strand you, just irritating.

This denso, 950-0210 is the sequoia pump with the sequoia filter. I did not find the 'just the pump' number which would make it even cheaper, but still it's only $97, so way better than $300. If I would have found this out a long time ago I wouldn't have had this mess. But anyway.

If you have your black cage and lower black rubber bushing and filter if you just replace the pump portion of it you're good. Look on amazon for a filter that would fit- might fit. I bet most stock originals are fine on here, maybe.
The lower pick up on that pump and the corresponding hole are offset around 7 and 10 on the clock face.

this pump is unique in the way the black removable housing holds the non return valve and associated stem oring. Also in the fact that the filter on the bottom covers the pick up hole and another small hole. I don't know what that is for. Maybe reference pressure compared to the overpressure valve in the small hole on top. idk.

The LC pump harness # is 777850-C020 , hard to find this, I ordered three before I found it for 6$ Only needed if you have cut yours before and don't like splices.
the yellow fuel line clips are 7724160320 Not needed if you haven't taken your out 20 times or so.

the sub assembly is toyota # 7702460180, that's the white part all together.
There isn't a part # for the toyota filter that I can find, I bet amazon has some that would work. maybe.

lastnight, one hot fuel timed, one cold this morning.

Thanks for sharing this.

Is the first image the denso pump compared to the original disassembled pump (i.e. out of the cage)?

yes.

edit, I should add that hot psi fades faster. I don't think most people would notice. But three hours hot adds a second or two to crank times at <20 psig. I can get obsessive sometimes.

toyota says they are all in spec @ 21 or above psig after 5 minutes. They all do that without problems. It just annoys me how fast the rest backfeeds downline. Denso is definitely superior.

@jerryb to clarify the correct part number for an 06LX470 is 950-0210?

Amazon has one already, but just wanted to be sure I get the right one for my 2006 LX470.

Can’t find the strainer part though

Found a strainer, has anyone tried this brand?

Yes that's the right #.
I got mine from Amazon, I was wrong in that other thread about getting it from denso.

I wouldn't worry too much about the strainer. Even mine in Texas heat for 11 years is, was, fine.
The Sequoia filter won't work on on it. I have a bunch to choose from and I still went back to the original discolored oem filter.

15k miles or so on that pump and everything is great.

Thanks @jerryb I will try this pump and report back here once installed. I’ve had my fair share of stalling in the past 2 weeks now when it gets too hot here in Vegas. Last was 108°F the LX stalled when we were about to go on a stoplight. Hopefully this settles it along with a new fuel filter as well.

@jerryb I'm unclear on why the wire harness block PN # 777850-C020 you show. Was this needed to adapt the 950-0210 fuel pump to a 100 series?

Is this just the same as the 100 series fuel pump. Just need to drop in with my 100 series cage and trainer?

That's just the stock wire harness. I wanted new one so I put up the number. That connector is different than the other LC LX, pre 06.
Yes that pump is the same. That is the stock pump. It's just that if you buy from Toyota you get the black plastic outter and bottom sock and whatever else is in the diagram with a different part number.
Toyota won't sell just the pump to my knowledge.
So to make it even less clear, you just need the pump for an 06 07. Nothing else, unless you want new wire. I love wire.

Thanks Jerryb. I need to test run on a 07. It so strange I can't find at Denso.
Denso web page does not show any after May 2005 (no 06-07 for the VVT any model I've tried) Nor do they show 950-0210 in there search engine!
Find My Part ....Strange!

I've a used 05 fuel pump on the bench. It's an Aisin, but PN# indicates it will not work. Wondering if it will.

This came in yesterday. On the amazon description it didn’t say the strainer is included, this one has a strainer with the pump

Ya that filter won't work. it works with Sequoia if I remember right. It's been a while.

One thing I noticed is that when I was dismantling the assembly, the plastic securing notches of the strainer assembly easily popped right out of the pump after removing the two metal hose clips. But when I was putting it back together, now with the new fuel pump and new rubber O-ring going into the strainer assembly, it was really tight and had to push hard so that the plastic securing notches would lock into the plastic cage.

I thinks that’s the culprit right there, when it gets too hot that’s the area where fuel flow escapes and not maintain a steady pressure going into the fuel lines and eventually to the engine.
