I really like the bumpers being painted the lighter silver like the body instead of the darker color the old bumpers were painted. Thanks Garth for the nudge in that direction.

Your 100 is really coming along nicely! I really like the paint scheme you went with too. I paint matched my front ARB and Slee step sliders, but I went with the gray like the original bumpers. I haven't painted my Slee rear yet because its been too cold.

Now that I've seen yours and Shotts, I'm really considering pulling the front bumper and sliders and painting them green at the same time that I paint the rear bumper. I've been considering having the body trim painted anyways as its peeling in a couple small spots. I'm just not sure how the dark green would look for the whole rig.

I look forward to checking out your 100 at Moab!

Tanx for da tip :D

And, at least when I did mine, after letting the rig down off the jack it is best to drive it around the block first before measuring...

I like the way the 100 IFS sliders Christo have done are just the right height to stop the wayward shopping trolleys from putting dents in the doors while wheeling the local mall for a lo cal, lo fat, decaf, half strength, soy latte:princess: :flipoff2:

Ha Ha! :flipoff2: I know you're just yankin' my chain a bit, but I will say this. Last week-end I went wheelin' and on this particular trail there is a section with a 4 foot tall wall of dirt and tree roots on the left side and the trail slopes hard left so if you go wide you'll slide into the wall.

So, you have to put your tires up against the wall and try not to slip into the wall. Slee's step sliders are perfect for this. Once my front tire was against the wall, the step slider stuck out just enough to keep my doors out of the wall.

Some other type of slider that didn't stick out as far would not have given me this protection. It was pretty cool to slide the length of the slider on a tree root and come away unscathed. Thanks again Christo!

Sorry for the hi-jack wngrog.

you will get a ticket for driving across the driveway entry, and through the local mall garden if you keep that up you know :flipoff2:

But im sure the other coffee sipping soccer moms were super impressed when you got out looking like you meant to do it

Julie can thank me...

Back to the build. I installed the compressor and the switches today for the locker and front lights.

Clean install, but how do you not activate it with your knee getting in-and-out of the truck?

Installed the ARB bumper and M8000 winch today.

The cheapo plastic crap where the fog light kit goes is so cheesy. They do not offer any way to secure it to the bumper.

I had to use fawking ZIP TIES to hold it in toward the vehicle.

Also, the dinky little blinkers are worthless. They take the place of the fog lamps so I won't even hook them up.

Thanks Ken. I really like it.

Another thing I forgot to mention, I had an old plastic fairlead laying around the I had on my 40 once and it fit nicely in the area where the roller fairlead normally goes.

The plastic rollers posted once here are not a good idea as they still have the corners in them when they mount up where the rope can get wedged. This bumper is not like the 80 series where the roller is part of the bumper.

I slapped my licence plate over the hole and attached it with captured nuts so I can easily remove it when I hit the trail.

I have my light switch around there and always hit the sucker though I'm too dumb to move it.

I really like the silver-ish color. Man, it makes for a sweet color-matched rig. I wanted white for my 2nd 100 but that silver's now on the list.
Any pinstipes on it yet WNGROG? Do they show badly?

Wow! Haven't been on this thread in a while.

Looks awesome! Great work.

I dug this up to update the changes I have made since April....

I ended up pulling the HD rear springs and adding variable rate 866's in the rear. I still have the cheapo drawer system in the back full of stuff and I like the way it is only 1" higher in the rear like stock.

Also it rides much better.

Next up, I just ordered a front ARB to install over Christmas.

866 & 863 carried same the weight just 863 set higher than 866 ur LC is very good what about the lockers ?:D i would like to see pictures while installing & did u change ur gears to 4.88 ?

The 863 to 866 swap dropped the rear by 1.5" and the ride is much better. I have only towed my big trailer once since the swap and it seems to handle just as well as the 863s did.

I was going to do the 4.88's but I am not going bigger than 33's and it just does not seem worth it, especially since I have already installed the rear ARB.
