you lost the chrome hoop right? you can probably fit 2 more on the front. Im not sure how the mounting system is but on mine I have a bar with tabs welded on it running across the front to mount stuff with and just made a beam to mount the lights on it.

pics of light mount... how are yours mounted?

I did lose the hoop, and the Hella's are mounted in the stock ARB holes next to the Winch Opening... so, I could probably customize a new bar but honestly I'm not up for adding any more lights... I need sliders first!!! And HID's of course!!

9006 for Low Beams, got it - but what are the 9005's for - are you doing your High Beams!!!?? Did you go 55w or 35w and did you get the extra harness??

I would not do HID hi beams. You wont be able to flash your lights since the ballasts have to warm up for 5-10 seconds. the low beams will be so bright hi beams are pretty much useless anyway.

I thought the fogs were 9006? We could easily solve this by taking a look in our owners manuals but ur probably like me and just to **** lazy to get up and go look.

All Landcruiser 100 bulbs upfront are 9006. I'm almost 100% sure (wait, that wouldn't be 100% then would it? Or would it? )

Once again this isnt helping with our confusion but I think the Hi beams are 9005. Lo beams and fogs are 9006.
I could be wrong about the Hi and fogs.

Fogs and high beams.

I never flash high beams, just kick them on during long drives over the mountain. Plus I have strobe on my Streamlight and it seams to get people attention.

I'm sure ther's a lot more light in close area.
What I'd like to compare before doing it is the amount of light in further area

I hope the above is wrong for the LX. I'm looking at the Owner's manual here in front of me for 2007 and for 2006 (I have both manuals), and both indicate that the LX Low Beam is a 9006--at least for 2006 and 2007.

I don't have any information on the LC, so I won't comment on that.

I sure hope my information is correct, as I just ordered the 55W 9006 setup (with the wiring harness) for my '06 LX.

You need the H1 kit. I just searched it and found they are H1.

headlights changed to a plastic lens in 2003, however I think they stayed H1 bulbs.

Well I'll be darned! I just pulled the light bulb from my '06LX and the low beam bulb is an H1 just like folks are saying here!

You guys rock--now I need to see if I can change my order before they ship it.

Lesson learned: When owners manual and ih8mud disagree, trust ih8mud!
