There are so few many reported ...
Consumer reports, a scientific survey on auto reliability, indicates "much better than average" reliability for the 2000 LC transmission. This correlates to a less than 1% reported trouble rate in their survey. Tales of frequent transmission failure must be regarded as the anecdotes of a vocal 1%.I am looking at a 2000 LC with low miles...I shouldn't worry, right? I have read a few horror stories about the transmission, etc. Any thoughts of comfort? Thanks
I'd make sure the coil packs, timing belt, and starter contacts have been replaced or at least addressed. Those are major issues at 100K miles that I have read about.
