I’ve been looking into the rack that you have. Are you able to open the lower tailgate or the upper tailgate with it in full upright position? With it lean down? Just curious how it fits. Thanks so much for the feedback.

When it's fully upright, you can't open the rear hatch or tailgate.

When it's in the first angled position (for loading or unloading bikes), you can open both the upper hatch and lower tailgate with relatively easy access to anything in the back. The lower tailgate's metal latch hook fits perfectly between the bike rack's formed metal c-supports at the hinge (see photo) - but you wouldn't want more than one person's weight on the tailgate because it will weigh it down enough to make slight contact (but really hasn't been an issue).

When the bike rack is in the fully-down position on the ground, you canNOT open the lower tailgate anymore (see photo).

Interesting. My 4 bike rack - not as fancy as you guys have - tailgate and liftgate all works, with the rack fully on with bikes.

Really? How far back do the bikes sit from the rear of the vehicle when loaded? Seems like it must be pretty far back if the hatch can fully open while the bikes are vertical.

I can take some photos. Rack is 8 years old. Gets used super frequently. Not fancy, but functional for my family and my usage

Thank you so much for all the detail. This is really helpful in my decision process.

Quite the coincidence - both the LC and the Taco hit 100,000 miles this week. Planning to drain and fill all the fluids on both soon.

what suspension is prevalent there?
This is Saudi. In UAE nearly everyone run stock suspension. Only saw a couple cruisers with lifts, all were running kings.
