After a few solo days on the trail and camping, I met up with some Rising Sun folks to do a pre run of a few trails for Cruise Moab. It was super cold at night in the tent with 15 degree temps overnight, but we had a great time and enjoyed Moab without any crowds.

That’s our local track and I’ve been going twice a year since the late 90’s for the HSR races.

A little backstory on the 8 Maxtrax...
I was using the Cruiser as a support vehicle on off road trips for work with several vehicles that didn't have any recovery equipment, so I ended up bringing enough to recover everyone if things got dicey. On this last trip, I was solo on Kokopelli for a few days during heavy rain and right after a solid snow, so it was a total mud fest. Funny enough though, I only recovered one vehicle on this trip - a rented Chrysler minivan that had wandered down a dirt road and ended up buried to its frame in soupy bentonite mud. With no recovery points and no hitch, I ended up digging and using the Maxtrax quite a bit, and I realized after I got home the minivan had left a solid chunk of tire on them 
Fortunately, the metal pins didn't suffer much whereas the standard Maxtrax would likely have been toast where the minivan spun its tires wildly.

Yea, I have a set of enclosed trailer cross bars to make a rack that will support 600-800lbs. Topper was custom made for the trailer by a now defunct company that used to outfit them under contracts.
The wheels and tires are just on point man. What size are the tires again?
That sounds cool having the extra storage and it looks lockable. I’ll be looking forward to seeing how you finish that thing off.
