Went to Ouray over Labor Day weekend. Ran Black Bear and Imogene Pass on Saturday and Engineer Pass on Sunday.

Spotted today: on 65 northbound through Springfield, MO. A white 200 series with multi color stripe decals on the rear pillar, pulling a nice off-road trailer. Didn’t get a photo as they were in the far lane....and my phone was in my pocket:bang: Did trade a thumbs up as they passed by. Anyone know who this might be?

Possibly @ethernectar?

I reached out to @ethernectar via Instagram as I remembered his truck and user name there, not him. Also after looking at photos of his truck I recalled that the one I saw locally had the stripes more on the diagonal.

I’m sure there’s some Highlander puns to be had there.

I took my stock '13 out on Switzerland Trail today. I ordered some Slee stepsliders that I'm hoping to pick up on Friday. I still need to figure out what I'll do for a lift. I like the cushy ride it has now. Maybe I can get that BP51 setup and just leave the damping pretty soft. Once I pick a lift I'll start worrying about new tires. I'm leaning towards a 285/70/18 on my stock wheels.

With California wild fires happening this week, I had to change my weekend family trip from Yosemite valley to Zion, Bryce and horse shoe bend in Utah. The 200 had been such an improvement on the road with power and even MPG compared to my 100 series of past. With a family of 5, A heavy 4 bikes rack, bikes and gear, I am definitely bottoming out the rear suspension from time to time. I guess I’ll be upgrading suspension soon.....

Truck looks great - especially with bronze wheels. How do the KM3s ride at 80? How’s the noise/handling?

@04UZJ100 it’s alright. They are not loud, but you can hear them at hi speed (80 plus). I have run kM3’s on 3 other vehicles and been happy and I’m questioning my decision not going AT on this one. I must be getting old. Lol. It’s not bad. I’m thinking it could just be better. This truck isn’t going to see any serious wheeling anytime soon either. I absolutely love the look though and that’s what made me go with them initially.

For what KM3s are when I purchased. I expected them to be way worse! Yea you get a bit of humming noise, but definitely not annoying. Even my parents were shocked with the noise around 70-80.

Happy Mudding my friend. I am happy in my trashy 200 :) that’s all that counts for me.

We like informative posts.
Would be great to see what you’ve done.

Nice!!!

Please educate me on the tires? I assume the bias ply appearing tires have a specific purpose?

We call them balloon tires. They’re amazing in the sand but to be honest they are dangerous (read: fun to some) in wet weather as they don’t have much traction. They’re almost necessary in the dunes, though.

Yes ballons, they are made of nylon only. This makes it very light, they also ride very soft/plush, and they do not dig on sand. However they puncture easily, vibrate and make al alot of noise onroad.
