Added another 2500 or so to the truck over the last weekend. Mostly back/dirt roads from SLC to Tucson and back. Some hiking, some golf, some sitting around doing nothing then home for Christmas. View attachment 2166196View attachment 2166197

The looooooong drive from San Diego to San Antonio... Did 800+ miles on Friday...
Also discovered it’s hard taking a twilight photo from the back seat...while driving alone... :)

...and my wife thinks I’M a gadget junkie!? I’m showing her this pic next time she doesn’t believe me when I say that I’m not.

Heh...Ya...
I had everything on at that moment.
Usually my head unit is turned off and rear camera off once it’s dark...

They also look brighter in that pic because it’s almost dark outside...

Those particular gadgets are super useful though-
-HAM radio on left also tracks altitude & other info which is interesting to me...
-Smallest screen on far left is Garmin inreach...
-Far right is my rear-view camera (usually turned off at night)
-iPad is my map and music/radio...

Thank you. I appreciate it.

Just had a Dobinson front bumper installed, White Knuckle sliders and 40 gallon Long Range aux tank.
I borrowed my Wilco off-road hitch mounted spare tire carrier from my Cayenne
until I pick up my Wescott designs tire carrier.

Where'd you get the poverty pack wheels? Love it...would make an interesting addition to my LX

Nice! Was it worth the trip out there? I've always thought to do a day trip from SD to go check it out.
Yeah my opinion is that it's totally worth it. There are some cool trails out there and the ruins are unbelievable. Crazy how an area goes from boom to bust.

A day trip from SD is doable but aggressive if you want to go all the way around the "sea" because it's huge. You'd have to choose one side of the "sea" or the other. We got an Airbnb in Palm Desert then explored the east side with Bombay Beach ruins, etc.

You could even start in Joshua Tree then come down Berdoo Canyon Rd and then over to the ruins around the sea. Go when it's cool out or the "sea" is extra stinky.

My 80's water pump had went out and fortunately I was close to the office at the time to be able to park and store it there till I had time to go get it...which was today:

The 200 pulled it home like a champ!

My Christmas present a stock 2013 LX570 in Starfire Pearl. Currently in for chrome delete. Just picked up some Tundra TRD Pro 18" wheels today. Hoping to get in for a Dissent front bumper sometime in the spring. Still researching sliders and a rear bumper.
