Poser shot after install of 1.25" spidertrax spacers.

This weekend I took the LX on what I'm sure was its very first time off-pavement:

Finally got to use the high suspension mode and centre diff lock. LX did great in the ~foot of snow with various holes/ruts underneath.

Best info:
“Fire was had...sausages were eaten.”
Lol! I love it.

What I've found to work best: Set to high mode then turn height control off (hit the off switch). The truck will still stay in high unless you exceed the maximum speed. Generally height control works fine off road, but I've had a few times where it will try to level out when I don't want it to.

I was looking at that button and wondering what it does exactly... Does it just turn off auto-levelling? And what's the max speed? I think the LX went back to normal height once I hit about 40kph, but I'm not sure about that. My old ML350 would hold its high setting until 80kph... I liked that a bit better, but I suppose 40kph is fine, too.

As for raising to high setting, it seemed like I needed to be driving less than 20kph to get it to go up. Sound about right?

This should help:

The cheat mode for extra height with extra speed off-road is to put it in low range.

I often use this for running in desert washes. It is cheating as it feels so compliant as to float over irregularities. To the point that it causes serious clenching when coming upon an unexpected hit too fast, expecting for sure to bottom out. Yet AHC has an uncanny ability to handle the hit as it dynamically increases compression damping and calls upon the secondary firmer spring rate. It really is an awesome system.

I've considered raising the stock AHC height, but really have never needed to outside of maybe wanting to "hard cruise" down the street.

Took a mostly scenic route from Mississippi to the DC area, and back, last week. I have almost 4k miles of seat time over various terrains and conditions in this thing over the past 10 days, and I must say that it continues to impress me. At 185k miles, in single digit temperatures, running it for 14+ hours at times, it never skipped a beat.

Nice road trip , some of those look like HWY 441 going over the MTN from Gatlinburg to North Carolina.
