This weekend I took the LX on what I'm sure was it's very first time off-pavement:
Finally got to use the high suspension mode and centre diff lock. LX did great in the ~foot of snow with various holes/ruts underneath.

What I've found to work best: Set to high mode then turn height control off (hit the off switch). The truck will still stay in high unless you exceed the maximum speed. Generally height control works fine off road, but I've had a few times where it will try to level out when I don't want it to.
I was looking at that button and wondering what it does exactly... Does it just turn off auto-levelling? And what's the max speed? I think the LX went back to normal height once I hit about 40kph, but I'm not sure about that. My old ML350 would hold its high setting until 80kph... I liked that a bit better, but I suppose 40kph is fine, too.
As for raising to high setting, it seemed like I needed to be driving less than 20kph to get it to go up. Sound about right?
