Finally installed my rear bumper and created a custom jerry can license plate holder. I was inspired by the look of the 70 series can holder/ license plate that was offered. I still need to finalize the camera relocation and wire the lights.

I kinda dig the Deputy Warren Ferguson shoulder strap look. :hillbilly:

Now just paint a black tie in the middle...hehe...

Hahaha! Thank you. Thats the way the metal strap attaches. A fabric strap goes straight up and down through the handle area. The can is a Rampage products tool box (not the one with the drawers. The open can one), not actual fuel can. I have it bolted in.

Just missed the turn. 200k+ miles and still tight and rattle free.
Major repairs to date: water pump, starter, and radiator.
Super happy with this truck!

@Markuson, got her all cleaned up before a local club meeting and started snapping pics at the car wash. I'm sure the people around thought I was crazy.

And yes the shadow side/back light does wonders for hiding the scratches ;-)

Rattle free status at 200,000 miles is pretty darn impressive. These really are amazing vehicles.

And glad to know I’m not the only one who can’t help snapping photos of these things…
:hillbilly:<-It’s not crazy if it’s a Cruiser!

Hey @drmwvr what are your impressions of the ”Pack Mule” receiver hitch tray/basket? Looked at those a while back. Looks awesome for intended purpose.[/QUOTE]
It’s a nice piece of hardware. Not inexpensive but it is lightweight, strong and does not move at all. Kansas, the owner, is a great guy as well!

Daily Driver:

New valving on the KINGS!, By far the best 200 series I have ever ridden around town and on rough areas. This valving softens the low end compression significantly, especially in the rear. However what I have fixed this time is the the rate of how stiff it gets. In other words how progressive the curve is. With this shim configuration it is a much smoother curve and also softer all around since I have noticed with the previous valving that not all the travel was being used. Now the tires dance around up and down on the gravel. Floats over rocks and washboard even with the KDSS equipped. I also noticed with this revalve even with the KDSS, body roll has increased. This is because the low end compression has been reduced significantly.

The 3.0's in the 200's are even better again.

Definitely! Look at the bull bar on the right (with its two heavy, upright supports)...and then look at the FIVE uprights and below-bumper bar in comparison:

Looks ready for an entire herd of bulls...

Edit: Not a T13 on the right. Looks like an ARB with an additional bar added just above the main upper bumper surface. Clearly these guys are expecting major impacts...

The bar on the 79 ute is a standard ARB winch bar, the one on the 200 is a Tuff Bar made in Toowoomba in QLD. While the Tuff bar is much maligned for it’s looks, they are mainly used in country areas where wildlife strikes are a daily occurrence.

I’ve had similar ones on a few of my vehicles over the years - they work well, but newer regulations mean that the uprights actually have to lean back slightly, instead of forward to push obstacles underneath the vehicle. Believe it or not, it’s all about pedestrian safety.
